The frontend experience is the product. We need a senior engineer who can own it across all of these: architecture, performance, and the bar enterprise users will hold us to.\nWhat You’ll Own\nThe Chrome extension, Office add-in, Sheets add-on, and React/TypeScript web app: architecture, performance, reliability, and cross-surface consistency\nComponent systems and design token infrastructure the team builds on\nFrontend performance: load times, rendering, memory, and extension lifecycle\nIntegrating AI outputs into clean, responsive UIs, working closely with NLP and backend engineers\nThe frontend quality bar: code reviews, patterns, and technical standards\nMust-have\n4+ years of production experience with React and TypeScript\nStrong command of the modern frontend stack: state management (Redux, Zustand, or similar), Webpack or Vite, and testing with Jest/Vitest, React Testing Library, or Playwright\nDeep experience with at least one non-web surface (browser extensions, Office add-ins, or Google Workspace add-ins), including its platform constraints, lifecycle, and edge cases\nStrong opinions on component design and state management, with the ability to reason about trade-offs, not just implement\nHands-on performance profiling and optimization in production\nWrites tests as part of development, not as an afterthought\nBuilds clean, accessible, maintainable interfaces and can clearly articulate design decisions\nGood to have\nChrome extension internals: content scripts, service workers, and messaging patterns\nOffice.js or Google Sheets API experience\nAWS and CI/CD (e.g. GitHub Actions)\nB2B SaaS experience and a feel for enterprise UI expectations\nExposure to AI or LLM-powered product surfaces, especially streaming output\nWho You Are\nYou care about the last 5%: micro-interactions, edge cases, and polish\nYou push back on UX decisions when something feels off, and have the design intuition to back it up\nYou’re energised by early-stage ambiguity and can build a path where there isn’t one\nYou communicate clearly with designers, PMs, and backend engineers\nWhat We Offer\nHard UX problems: making AI output feel fast and trustworthy inside the tools people already use\nDirect access to the founder\nCompetitive salary plus ESOPs\nBest-in-class dev tools and AI assistants\nHealth insurance\nIn-office in Mumbai, 5 days a week.
