This position will define, drive, and work with teams to execute on this vision.\nWhat you'll do\nOversee data engineering, reporting, development and delivery of hosted and cloud-based solutions which are secure, performant and scalable.\nCollaborate with developers, analysts, and stakeholders to prepare and deliver complex data sets that meet business needs.\nParticipate in Information Technology strategic, budgeting and project planning functions.\nDefines standards, procedures, and methodologies to ensure the security, integrity, resiliency, scalability and performance of enterprise data resources.\nLead DE support, maintenance and change management activities including service levels, efficacy reviews and task/resource scheduling.\nEvaluate and adopt third party tools, add-ons, and interfaces that strengthen our product suite or operational efficiency.\nStay abreast of evolving technology, standards and engineering practices that embrace security, quality and automation.\nParticipate in proactive assessments, lifecycle and capacity management/planning, business continuity and disaster recovery to maintain service levels.\nParticipate in maintaining system standards, information security, Incident Response and Disaster Recovery plans that adhere to regulatory requirements working within industry standards and the enterprise security posture.\nQualifications\nBachelor's Degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent experience in Database/Data Architect role or equivalent experience.\n5 years managing and mentoring data engineering teams or similar disciplines\n5 years recent practical experience implementing and supporting Microsoft SQL Server, Microsoft Fabric/PowerBI, Snowflake, MongoDb and data lake technology administration, ETL, high availability, deployments, and disaster recovery.\nExtensive practical experience designing, developing and managing traditional and cloud databases, data lake, data warehouse and NoSQL solutions.\nDemonstrated experience managing and participating in complex, cross-functional projects and driving technical innovation.\nAbility to thrive as a member of a geographically distributed organization.\nExcellent organizational and time management skills.\nStrong ability to compile, research and analyze complex data.\nAbility to convey complex topics to non-technical audiences verbally and in writing.\nExperience working in Azure DevOps, supporting SDLC, CI/CD development and deployments.\nCompany Benefits\nPPO + HDHP Healthcare + Vision & Dental (Sightline covers 90% for employee and 65% for their qualified dependents). \n401K with a match of up to 4%\nSTD, LTD, Life and AD&D coverage at 100% company paid\nUnlimited PTO (exempt employees only)\nHome Office Stipend\nResearch shows that women and people from underrepresented groups often apply to jobs only if they meet 100% of the qualifications.
