Next Generation (OMMS-NG) \nPropulsion Organizational Maintenance Management System (POMMS) \nOpen Architecture Retrieval System (OARS) \nMandatory Certifications:\nDoD 8140/8570 IAT Level II or Level III (e.g., Security+ CE, CySA+, GSEC, SSCP). \nAWS Cloud Practitioner certification is required. \nComputer Programs/Software:\nContainerization and orchestration technologies (Docker, container orchestration platforms). \nGit, Bitbucket, GitLab, Jenkins, CI/CD automation. \nAWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, CloudFormation, CloudWatch). \nNET Framework, C#, VB.NET, ASP.NET MVC. \nPython, JavaScript, Robot Framework, Selenium. \nOracle and SQL Server databases. \nRed Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) and Windows Server. \nSparx Enterprise Architect, Cameo/MagicDraw. \nSplunk, HBSS, ACAS, CDES. \nPersonnel Clearance Level:\nCandidate must possess or have the ability to obtain an active Secret security clearance or higher.\nClearance may be sponsored for the right candidate.\nEducation Requirements:\nBachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Computer, Electrical, or Electronics Engineering, or Mathematics with a concentration in Computer Science.\nMaster’s degree is preferred.\nEssential Job Duties (not all-inclusive):\nLead Agile-based technical planning and execution including PI Planning, sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily scrums, and system demos to ensure engineering alignment with the MFOM Release Roadmap and program objectives. \nCoordinate closely with Product Owners, Scrum Masters, System Architects, and engineering teams to refine requirements, validate acceptance criteria, and ensure that user stories meet Definition of Ready and Definition of Done. \nProvide senior-level engineering leadership across modernization, sustainment, and integration activities, ensuring alignment with MFOM architectural baselines, DoD standards, and Government-directed technical constraints.\nConduct system-wide technical assessments, analyze engineering trade-offs, evaluate modernization approaches, and develop recommended Courses of Action (COAs) that support Government technical decision-making.\nLead troubleshooting and root-cause analysis for complex distributed system issues including container orchestration failures, networking and infrastructure defects, system outages, and performance degradation across shipboard and shore environments. \nGuide architecture development including microservices decomposition, RESTful API implementation, container deployment strategies, and cloud transition planning aligned with authorized DoD hosting environments. \nSupport requirements engineering by analyzing Change Requests (CRs), identifying affected system components, decomposing CRs into actionable user stories, and ensuring full traceability to system requirements. \nMaintain configuration integrity through disciplined execution of Configuration Management (CM) processes including baseline identification, change verification, CM audits, and traceability across requirements, design, code, and test artifacts. \nLead software and platform engineering activities including integration, container image creation, orchestration design, DevSecOps pipeline execution, CI/CD automation, and preparation of deployment packages for all MFOM environments. \nCoordinate with cybersecurity teams to support static code scanning, vulnerability remediation, ACAS/SCAP finding resolution, RMF compliance, and preparation of accreditation documentation. \nDevelop, update, and maintain DoDAF-compliant architecture views documenting MFOM system structure, behavior, interfaces, and data flows across the enterprise. \nApply Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) methods and tools such as Cameo, MagicDraw, or Enterprise Architect to model MFOM system behavior, structure, data flows, and interfaces. \nMaintain architecture baselines and ensure traceability between requirements, design artifacts, architecture models, and delivered system capabilities. \nTranslate stakeholder requirements and CRs into updated system architecture models, interface control documents, and technical specifications supporting modernization and system evolution. \nSalary Range: $130,000 -
