We also offer voluntary benefits: vision, long-term disability, and life insurance.\nPosition Details:\nThis position will be in office inKirkland, WA\nThe hiring range for this role is typically between $30 and $38 per hour, with the full range extending to $45 per hour, based on experience, internal equity, and career progression\nPrimary Function:\nThe Electrical Engineering Technician II is responsible for independently performs a range of electronic, electrical, and electromechanical tasks in support of engineering, prototyping, testing, and production activities. This role supports the assembly, rework, troubleshooting, and validation of electronic systems and printed circuit board assemblies (PCBAs), while contributing to prototype development, process improvements, and engineering projects with limited supervision.\nEssential Job Functions - Responsibilities:\nBuild, modify, and test prototypes, assemblies, and fixtures from engineering drawings, schematics, and work instructions.\nPerform PCBA rework and precision soldering under a microscope, including the removal, replacement, and repair of electronic components on printed circuit board assemblies.\nPerform SMT and through-hole soldering for prototype, engineering, and production builds while maintaining high standards of workmanship and quality.\nAssemble and modify wire harnesses, cables, and electromechanical assemblies.\nExecute functional, environmental, and acceptance testing and accurately document results.\nTroubleshoot electronic and assembly-related issues and assist in identifying root causes and corrective actions.\nSupport engineering investigations, prototype iterations, and design validation activities.\nContribute to documentation updates, process improvements, and continuous improvement initiatives.\nPrioritize assigned work, manage multiple tasks effectively, and communicate project status as needed.\nFollow company policies and procedures related to quality, safety, information security, and data protection.\nEducation and Experience:\nHigh School Diploma or GED required; Associate degree or technical training in Electronics, Engineering Technology, Mechatronics, or a related field preferred.\n2-5 years of experience in electronics assembly, testing, troubleshooting, prototyping, or related technician work.\nExperience performing SMT and through-hole soldering.\nExperience performing PCBA rework, component replacement, and precision soldering preferred.\nAbility to read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, assembly drawings, and technical documentation.\nExperience using common electronic test and measurement equipment.\nAbility to troubleshoot electrical, electronic, and electromechanical systems.\nStrong written and verbal communication skills.\nStrong teamwork and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across functional groups.\nDemonstrated commitment to company values and continuous improvement.\nAbility to successfully complete pre-employment screening requirements.\nWork Environment\nStandard lab/production environment. Appropriate safety garments (PPE) must be worn. Occasionally may be required to work in environmental conditions that emulate typical user environments in order to facilitate design testing and validation. Occasionally may be required to travel as required to other facilities, clients, or suppliers. Must be able to stand and work as long as 12 hours in different positions.
