What began as a cost-effective supplier of low-voltage electrical products has grown into a global solutions provider of highly engineered, complex metal components, including machined parts and precision metal stampings.\nAt Sigma Engineered Solutions “your success is our mission.” It’s a promise we live by daily and it defines everything we do whether you are a team member or customer.\nThe Tooling Coordinator is responsible for supporting manufacturing operations through management, organization, maintenance, and distribution of tooling, gauges, fixtures, and related production equipment. This position also supports tooling design and documentation activities by creating and revising 2D and 3D CAD drawings for customer dies, tooling, equipment, and fabricated components. The Tooling Coordinator plays a critical role in ensuring tooling availability, inventory accuracy, and production readiness while maintaining safe and organized work practices.\nWhat you will be doing:\nTooling Management & Production Support\nMaintain and manage tool crib inventory, including tooling, fixtures, gauges, hardware, and related production supplies.\nPurchase, receive, organize, and store tooling and production support materials.\nMonitor inventory levels and coordinate replenishment activities to ensure uninterrupted production.\nPrepare, stage, and distribute tooling and materials for scheduled production runs.\nCommunicate tooling shortages, inventory concerns, and availability issues to production leadership.\nMaintain accurate records for tooling, dies, and equipment entering or leaving the facility.\nEnsure the tool crib remains secure, organized, and compliant with company standards.\nCAD Drafting & Documentation\nCreate and maintain accurate 2D and 3D CAD drawings for dies, tooling, equipment, assemblies, and fabricated components.\nDevelop detailed drawings from sketches, layouts, CAD files, fabricated parts, and verbal or written instructions.\nRevise drawings based on engineering change requests, marked-up prints, and production requirements.\nApply drafting standards, GD&T principles, and established engineering practices to all drawings and revisions.\nPerform calculations involving geometry, trigonometry, and algebra to support tooling design and manufacturing processes.\nOther duties:\nFollow safe work practices and keep the work area clean and organized.\nPerform related duties as assigned.\nFollow documented policies and procedures as designated by the company’s Employee Handbook and Local Work Rules. In addition, adhere to the proper Code of Conduct while on company property.\nRequirements\nWhat you will bring to the team:\nMinimum of two years of drafting, tooling, manufacturing, or related experience\nProficiency with 2D and 3D CAD software. \nAbility to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings. \nWorking knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T). \nStrong organizational and inventory management skills. \nEffective verbal and written communication skills. \nAbility to work independently and manage multiple priorities. \nStrong attention to detail and accuracy. \nProficiency in Microsoft Office and related business systems\nPreferred Requirements:\nAssociate degree in Mechanical Drafting, CAD Technology, or a related field preferred.\nExperience working in a manufacturing environment preferred. \nExperience with inventory management and tooling coordination is preferred.\nTechnical/Functional Competencies\n Tooling Inventory Management\nCAD Drafting and Design Documentation\nBlueprint Reading & Interpretation\nGeometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T)\nManufacturing Processes Knowledge\nInventory Control & Recordkeeping\nProblem Solving & Root Cause Analysis\nBehavioral Competencies\nAttention to Detail\nAccountability\nOrganization and Planning\nInitiative\nCollaboration\nAdaptability\nCustomer/Production Support Mindset\nDisclaimer: This job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee.
