The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in mechanical engineering principles, excellent problem-solving skills, and a willingness to gain hands-on experience with industrial equipment, manufacturing processes, and maintenance operations.\nAssist with troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving mechanical issues involving food processing, packaging, and production equipment.\nSupport the maintenance, repair, and improvement of industrial machinery, including conveyors, pumps, motors, gearboxes, bearings, pneumatic systems, and hydraulic equipment.\nWork alongside experienced engineers and maintenance technicians to identify equipment failures and develop corrective actions.\nAssist with the installation, testing, commissioning, and startup of new production machinery and mechanical systems.\nReview and interpret mechanical drawings, equipment specifications, technical manuals, and engineering documentation.\nEvaluate equipment performance and recommend improvements to increase operational efficiency and reliability.\nRequirements\nBasic understanding of mechanical engineering principles, including mechanical systems, machine design, materials, and manufacturing processes.\nFamiliarity with industrial equipment such as conveyors, pumps, motors, gearboxes, bearings, hydraulic systems, and pneumatic components.\nAbility to read and interpret mechanical drawings, engineering specifications, and technical documentation.\nBasic knowledge of mechanical troubleshooting, equipment maintenance, and failure analysis.\nFamiliarity with CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar engineering design programs.\nStrong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.\nProficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.\nAbility to work independently on assigned projects and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.\nPreferred Qualifications\nInternship or practical experience in food manufacturing, industrial manufacturing, packaging, or processing operations.\nFamiliarity with automated production equipment, conveyors, packaging machinery, and food processing systems.\nBasic understanding of preventive maintenance programs and equipment reliability practices.\nExposure to Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).\nKnowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies.\nFamiliarity with mechanical design principles, equipment modifications, and industrial maintenance practices.\nUnderstanding of sanitary equipment design and food manufacturing safety requirements.\nExperience with mechanical troubleshooting through academic projects, internships, or technical training.\nBenefits\nAt Roger Wood Foods, A Sigma Company, you will have the opportunity to apply your technical expertise to systems that directly support production performance, product quality, and operational reliability.
