This is a Monday-Friday position with some weekends; the position will cover from Modesto, CA, to Yuba City. \nESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS\nNegotiate directly with customers and assist the team in negotiating existing accounts and generating new business.\nGather and analyze sales information such as sales, pricing, product mix per customer, spoilage, margins, and inventory versus sales; plan and execute sales plans for maximum performance.\nInterview, hire, and train Onboard and Pre-Sales Retail Representatives.\nReview sales performance, set individual goals for representatives, and provide sales and customer service guidance.\nTrain representatives on company procedures, including sales processes and safety procedures (DOT); perform internal audits regarding procedural compliance.\nMaintain knowledge of routes and customers; ensure accounts receive the highest level of service, including personally servicing accounts when needed; troubleshoot and resolve customer issues.\nOther duties as assigned.\nRequirements\nMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS\nHigh School diploma or GED\nThree (3) years of driving/route sales supervision experience\nLicense/Certifications:\nValid driver's license for state of residence and vehicle insurance as required\nPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS\nOne (1) year leadership experience\nRoute sales supervision experience in the food products industry\nAssociate's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field\nExperience with SAP, SOL, BW Analyzer, and High Jump\nKnowledge of basic DOT regulations (straight trucks)\nKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES (KSA's)\nFluent in Spanish with intermediate English proficiency (DOT requirement)\nIntermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)\nEffective interpersonal and relationship-building skills\nAbility to work under pressure and meet deadlines\nStrong analytical and negotiation skills\nExcellent verbal and phone communication skills\nAbility to motivate a team\nPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS\nAbility to sit and drive for at least 8 hours\nAbility to stand for at least 4 hours\nAbility to twist, kneel, stoop, stand, bend, push, pull, and move 30-pound items repeatedly\nAbility to move 75-pound loads on a cart or hand-truck without assistance\nAbility to climb in/out of vehicles\nAbility to lift and move 30-pound boxes/buckets repeatedly\nAbility to work in a cold environment (approx. 34°F) for long periods\nAbility to travel up to 80%, including overnight stays up to 5 days\nBenefits\n401(k)\nDental insurance\nEmployee assistance program\nHealth insurance\nPaid time off\nVision insurance\nAnd more......\nEqual Employment Opportunity Statement\nSigma Foods and the Bar-S brand are Equal Opportunity Employers.
