We at Sigma Software are looking for an International Accountant (Middle / Middle+) to strengthen our international accounting team.\nThis is a full-time role with flexible setup (remote or hybrid, depending on your location) in a dynamic, international environment. You will work closely with entities across different countries, local accounting and tax advisors, and internal stakeholders from Finance, Operations, Legal, and other teams.\nWe as a company value clear communication, ownership, and a modern approach to finance, including the use of AI tools and automation. business.\n Maintain accounting records for assigned entities and ensure accurate recognition of transactions\nPrepare monthly management accounts and reconciliations and support month-end and year-end closing\nSupport intercompany transactions and reconciliations\nCoordinate with local accounting and tax advisors in different jurisdictions\nPrepare information for VAT, corporate tax, and statutory reporting and review calculations prepared by external advisors\nSupport statutory audits and maintain proper accounting documentation\nCommunicate directly with internal stakeholders across Finance, Operations, Legal, and other teams\nUnderstand stakeholder needs, explain accounting matters clearly, and provide practical, business-oriented solutions\nTake ownership of assigned areas, identify issues, and drive them through to resolution\nContribute to improvements in accounting processes, controls, and automation, including identifying opportunities to use AI and other tools where they bring practical value\n 3+ years of practical experience in Accounting, preferably in an international or multi-entity environment\nExperience with EU entities\nSolid practical knowledge of accounting principles and the full accounting cycle\nExperience with month-end closing, reconciliations, and management reporting\nPractical understanding of VAT and basic corporate tax concepts\nAbility to critically review work prepared by external accountants and tax advisors\nStrong practical experience with 1C\nStrong Microsoft Excel skills\nExperience with Xero, QuickBooks, or similar accounting systems\nComfort using AI tools in day-to-day work and openness to adopting new AI-based solutions\nEnglish level Upper-Intermediate or higher, sufficient for independent professional communication\nWILL BE A PLUS\nExperience with UK and US entities\nExperience working in an international group of companies\nExperience supporting statutory audits for multiple jurisdictions\nBackground in process improvement, automation, or implementation of new accounting tools\n PERSONAL PROFILE\nClear communicator, able to explain complex accounting topics in a simple and structured way\nClient-oriented mindset, understanding that Accounting provides a service to the business\nStrong sense of ownership and proactivity, taking responsibility and driving issues to
