You'll build and scale React applications served globally via CDN for a high-traffic, international audience, working closely with product, design, and back-end teams. We want someone who treats performance and accessibility as features rather than afterthoughts, and who thinks about how each component fits the wider system. If you notice a layout shift before anyone else does and can't leave it alone, this role is for you.\nKey Responsibilities\nBuild and maintain fast, accessible, responsive web applications with React and TypeScript\nContribute to front-end architecture, shared component libraries, and our design system\nOptimize delivery and performance: CDN and caching strategy, asset optimization, code splitting, and Core Web Vitals\nIntegrate with APIs and back-end services in a cloud-based environment\nTurn designs (Figma) into polished, production-ready interfaces, and push back when designs don't hold up in real use\nWrite automated tests and take part in code reviews and CI/CD improvements\nMonitor, debug, and resolve issues in development and production\nWork with QA and product to ship features that are reliable, not just complete\nRequirements\n3+ years of professional front-end development, building production-grade web applications\nStrong React and TypeScript, including hooks, component design, and rendering performance\nExperience with state management and data fetching (e.g. TanStack Query, Zustand, Redux)\nSolid modern CSS and responsive, mobile-first development (Tailwind, CSS Modules, or similar)\nHands-on performance work: Core Web Vitals, bundle analysis, lazy loading, caching\nExperience integrating REST and/or GraphQL APIs in production\nWorking knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG 2.2) and how to test for them\nAutomated testing experience: Vitest or Jest, React Testing Library, and Playwright or Cypress\nFamiliarity with front-end security basics (XSS, CSP, secure token handling)\nComfortable with Git-based workflows, pull requests, and CI/CD pipelines\nComfortable working in an AI-assisted workflow (e.g. Claude Code, Copilot, Cursor), with the judgment to review, verify, and take ownership of generated code\nGood written and spoken English\nNice to have\nDeploying front-end applications on AWS (S3, CloudFront), including cache invalidation and CDN strategy\njs or other SSR/SSG frameworks\nDesign systems and Storybook\nMonitoring and analytics tooling (e.g. Sentry, GA4, GTM)\nInternationalization for multilingual products\nExperience building SPAs for high-traffic or performance-critical platforms\nWould be beneficial\nTest automation experience with Playwright or Cypress \nPerformance testing basics (Lighthouse, Core Web Vitals, k6 or JMeter) \nExperience testing WordPress sites, including Multisite and high-traffic sites \nUnderstanding of caching layers (Redis, Varnish, CDN) sufficient to reproduce and isolate cache-related issues \nAbility to set up local or test environments with Docker or WP-CLI \nFamiliarity with CI/CD pipelines and how QA fits into release processes \nExperience
