Commercial Laundry Attendant

Job Summary

The Commercial Laundry Attendant is responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining industrial laundry equipment to ensure the efficient cleaning, drying, folding, and distribution of linens, uniforms, and other textiles. This position ensures quality standards, safety procedures, and production goals are consistently met.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Operate commercial washers, dryers, and equipment.
• Sort, inspect, and prepare laundry items for processing.
• Load and unload laundry equipment safely and efficiently.
• Monitor wash formulas, chemical usage, and machine performance.
• Inspect laundered items to ensure quality standards are met.
• Fold, package, and prepare clean items for delivery or storage.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Perform routine housekeeping and sanitation duties within the laundry facility.
• Report equipment malfunctions.
• Follow all company safety, quality, and sanitation policies.
• Meet daily production and performance targets.

Requirements

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous experience in commercial laundry, hospitality, manufacturing, or industrial operations preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and quality standards.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the shift.
• Frequently lift and move up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work in a warm, humid environment around industrial equipment.
• Ability to perform repetitive motions and maintain productivity standards.

Work Environment

• Commercial laundry facility.
• Exposure to heat, humidity, noise, and laundry chemicals.
• Requires adherence to all safety and personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements.
