Working closely with engineering, operations, and quality teams, you will troubleshoot issues, improve equipment reliability, and support the integration of new and modified automation systems.\nYou will:\nTroubleshoot and resolve issues across automated manufacturing lines.\nInvestigate equipment downtime and contribute to root cause analysis and corrective action activities.\nSupport the installation, commissioning, testing, and startup of new or modified automation equipment.\nProvide hands-on support during hypercare and production ramp-up phases.\nDebug issues at software, controls, and system level.\nDiagnose problems across electrical, mechanical, hardware, and software interfaces.\nSupport equipment improvement, standardisation, and continuous improvement initiatives.\nContribute to validation, verification, and change control activities within a regulated manufacturing environment.\nMaintain accurate technical documentation and assist with updates to procedures and specifications.\nCollaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver reliable and robust automation solutions.\nWhat Skills You Need\nA degree in Engineering, Science, Automation, Controls, or a related discipline.\nDemonstrable experience in automation and/or controls engineering within a manufacturing environment.\nStrong hands-on troubleshooting experience supporting automated equipment and production lines.\nExperience with Beckhoff Automation systems.\nProficiency in PLC-based control systems, with Allen-Bradley/Rockwell experience highly desirable.\nAbility to diagnose issues across electrical, mechanical, and software domains.\nExperience reading and interpreting electrical schematics and machine documentation.\nExperience with commissioning, testing, and ongoing equipment support.\nExperience in a regulated industry, ideally medical device or a similar manufacturing environment.\nKnowledge of structured problem-solving and continuous improvement methods.\nStrong communication skills and the ability to explain technical issues clearly to different stakeholders.\nA proactive, self-managed approach with strong attention to detail and quality.\nDesirable experience includes:\nEpson robots.\nVision systems such as Cognex or Keyence.\nMotion control and HMI/SCADA systems, including Ignition.\nValidation, verification, and change
