The business works on complex engineering projects where precision, quality and compliance with industry standards are essential.\nAbout Your New Job\nAs a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will translate client requirements into production-ready mechanical designs for the fabrication of pharmaceutical equipment.\nYou will:\nDesign and draft mechanical equipment using 3D and 2D CAD, primarily in Solid Edge, SolidWorks or Autodesk Inventor.\nReview client User Requirement Specifications and develop concepts, detailed designs, general arrangements, manufacturing drawings, parts lists and assembly documentation.\nWork as part of a project core team to deliver projects within agreed schedules and budgeted hours.\nAct as the mechanical design Subject Matter Expert throughout the project lifecycle, supporting fabrication and assembly teams with technical and manufacturability queries.\nLead Stage-Gate design reviews and manage the approval process for general arrangement drawings and P&IDs with clients.\nLead the development of ergonomic mock-up reviews.\nDevelop Bills of Materials, support supplier identification and liaise with procurement, ERP and PLM teams.\nSupport project scheduling, change management and the preparation of Variation Change Requests for client approval.\nSupport the preparation and execution of Factory Acceptance Testing and Site Acceptance Testing protocols.\nWhat Skills You Need\nA degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.\nAt least three years’ experience in the mechanical design of machines or specialist equipment.\nStrong proficiency in 3D CAD, ideally Solid Edge.
