The company offers a collaborative working environment with strong opportunities for professional development and career progression.\nYour New Role\nAs Mechanical Engineer, you will be involved in the design and delivery of mechanical building services projects from initial concept through to construction and handover.\nWorking alongside senior engineers, technicians and other engineering disciplines, your responsibilities will include:\nDesigning mechanical building services, including HVAC, ventilation, heating, cooling, water services and drainage systems.\nCompleting heating and cooling load calculations, equipment selections and system sizing.\nProducing mechanical specifications, technical reports, schedules and design documentation.\nReviewing and coordinating mechanical drawings and BIM models.\nWorking closely with electrical, structural and civil engineering teams to produce coordinated designs.\nAttending client, design-team and project coordination meetings.\nLiaising with architects, contractors, suppliers and other project stakeholders.\nReviewing technical submittals and responding to RFIs and design queries.\nCarrying out site inspections to monitor installation quality and compliance with the design.\nSupporting projects throughout the construction, commissioning and handover stages.\nEnsuring designs comply with Irish Building Regulations, relevant standards and client requirements.\nWhat You'll Need to Succeed\nA degree in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineering or a related discipline.\nAt least three years’ experience in mechanical building services design.\nExperience designing HVAC, heating, ventilation, water services and drainage systems.\nStrong knowledge of Irish Building Regulations and relevant mechanical engineering standards.\nExperience using software such as AutoCAD, Revit, IES, Hevacomp or similar design packages.\nThe ability to produce calculations, specifications, schedules and technical reports.\nPrevious experience working within an engineering consultancy would be highly advantageous.\nStrong communication and coordination skills.\nThe ability to manage technical responsibilities across multiple projects.\nA proactive approach to problem-solving and project delivery.\nWhat You'll Get in Return\nYou will receive a competitive salary and benefits package along with the opportunity to work on a varied portfolio of high-profile engineering projects.\nYou will benefit from structured career development, support towards professional chartership and the opportunity to learn from experienced engineers within a respected multidisciplinary consultancy.
