You will:\nSet up and test products using schematics, layout drawings, assembly drawings, procedures and technical specifications.\nUse a range of test equipment, including digital multimeters, power supplies, oscilloscopes, function generators, ESS chambers and vibration tables.\nTest and troubleshoot electronic PCB assemblies and systems incorporating passive components, analogue and digital circuitry, power electronics, FPGAs and microprocessors.\nTest and debug electronic motor controllers in line with established procedures.\nPerform failure analysis on production and returned assemblies and systems, providing feedback to support process improvements.\nWork closely with production and engineering teams to identify issues and develop effective technical solutions.\nComplete all required test documentation, including yield reports and non-conformance data.\nMaintain accurate records of test results and production-related documentation.\nSupport technician training, knowledge sharing and product familiarisation.\nFollow all requirements relating to personal tool maintenance, antistatic precautions, FOD, safety and housekeeping.\nWhat Skills You Need\nA minimum Level 6 qualification in Electronics Engineering or a related discipline.\nAt least two years’ experience in electronics testing, troubleshooting or a similar manufacturing environment.\nExperience working in an ISO 9001 or equivalent regulated environment is preferred.\nStrong knowledge of electronic components and circuitry, including analogue, digital and power electronics.\nProven ability to troubleshoot technical issues and perform failure analysis.\nStrong problem-solving, communication and interpersonal skills.\nAbility to work independently and collaboratively as part of an integrated team.\nFlexibility and the ability to meet deadlines in a busy manufacturing environment.\nExperience or qualifications in Lean manufacturing would be an advantage.
