This is a sociable role where you will work within an established, experienced procurement team and closely with all internal departments and managers, helping them with their supplies needs.\nYou will work closely with the Department Manager and will benefit from a culture that values continuous improvement, professional growth, and employee well-being.\nAbout Your New Job\nAs the Procurement Specialist, you will:\nCollaborate with hospital departments to procure and review all material, consumable, and service requirements.\nPlace orders with suppliers, manage purchase orders, and expedite orders to meet customer needs.\nDeliver daily, weekly, and monthly reporting, with key metrics and analysis to identify gaps and solutions.\nManage suppliers to secure best cost, delivery, and service quality.\nMonitor and control stock levels, minimising excess and obsolete materials, implementing best practices like Kanban and consignment programs.\nOversee cycle count and annual stock take processes, review and resolve invoice discrepancies, and support warehouse operations as needed.\nHours:\nMonday-Thursday: 8.00am-4.00pm\nFriday: 8.00am-3.30pm\n37 hours per week\nWhat Skills You Need\n1+ years’ work experience in a Procurement/Buying/Purchasing environment.\nDiploma/Cert in purchasing or materials management; APICS qualified or working towards it would be advantageous but essential.\nKnowledge of procurement, inventory, and supplier management.\nExcellent multitasking skills with attention to detail and accuracy.\nAdvanced MS Office skills (Excel, Word, Outlook); experience with MRP/ERP systems (SAP, Oracle preferred).\nStrong communication and relationship-building skills.
