This role plays a key part in the successful commercial delivery of Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) construction projects, overseeing costs from pre-construction through to final account settlement. The successful candidate will be responsible for cost control, valuations, contract administration, variation management, and maintaining strong stakeholder relationships throughout the project lifecycle.\nResponsibilities:\nEnsure the successful financial delivery of mechanical and electrical construction projects.\nManage project costs, monthly valuations, variations, and change control processes.\nBuild and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, suppliers, consultants, and site teams.\nMaintain financial oversight of projects, including job costing reviews, valuations, and final accounts.\nMonitor and follow up on payments to ensure compliance with agreed contract terms.\nPrepare and submit accurate monthly valuations based on site progress and work completed.\nComplete project documentation and correspondence within agreed timescales.\nProvide regular commercial reports and updates to senior management.\nReview contract documentation and identify any potential risks, assumptions, or commercial issues prior to execution.\nDevelop and improve commercial processes, controls, and reporting procedures.\nSupport the wider commercial team and undertake any additional duties required within the role.\nEssential Criteria:\nQualifications\nDegree or equivalent third-level qualification in Quantity Surveying.\nWorking towards or already qualified with RICS, CIOB, or ICES.\nExperience & Knowledge\nMinimum 3 years' post-qualification experience in a Quantity Surveying role, preferably within the construction sector.\nStrong understanding of cost value reporting procedures.\nExperience administering JCT contracts from both client and subcontractor perspectives.\nStrong commercial awareness and ability to identify and mitigate project risks.\nExcellent IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.\nDesirable:\n5+ years' post-qualification experience within a construction-related Quantity Surveying role.\nExperience working on Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) projects.\nBenefits:\nCash Health Plan including Employee Assistance Programme (EAP).\n4x salary Death in Service cover.\nCompany pension scheme via salary sacrifice.\nCompany sick pay scheme (subject to probation and length of service).\nEnhanced maternity and paternity benefits.\nPaid professional subscriptions.\nEmployee discount schemes.\nCycle to Work Scheme.\nCorporate gym discounts.\nBranded workwear.\nActive social and wellbeing initiatives.\nAnnual health checks.\nLong service awards.\nAdditional annual leave based on length of service.\nOngoing training and professional development opportunities.\nHow to Apply:\nIf you're a motivated Quantity Surveyor looking to join a growing construction business with a strong project pipeline and excellent career development opportunities, we'd be delighted to hear from you.
