Prior work experience with common gage types is required. Must possess good computer skills, specifically with Microsoft Excel, and be able to learn new skills as needed. Basic CMM operating experience and GD&T knowledge preferred. \n\nCOMMUNICATION SKILLS: \nMust be able to effectively communicate with other employees to share information, solve problems, and provide basic instructions. Must have the ability to read and interpret complex documents such as blueprints, shop orders, work plans, and short correspondence. Must be able to communicate effectively through email.\n\nMATHEMATICAL SKILLS: \nAbility to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations. \n\nREASONING ABILITY: \nAbility to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.\n\nOTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES: \nRequires the ability to operate various equipment to include computer, various precision measuring devices, and lifting devices. Must be self-motivated and be able to work independently. A quality-focused mindset is paramount.\n\nPHYSICAL DEMANDS: \nWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, talk and/or hear, and/or use hands to finger, handle, or touch objects, tools, or controls. The employee is occasionally required to stand, and/or walk. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus. The mental and physical requirements described here are representative of those that must be met by an individual to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.\n\nWORK ENVIRONMENT: \nWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee works near moving mechanical parts and is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment is usually minimal.\n\nPROTECTIVE CLOTHING/EQUIPMENT REQUIRED:\nSafety glasses and safety shoes must be worn in all manufacturing areas.
