You’ll take projects from the first conversation to launch: understanding the problem, researching with users, shaping flows and interfaces, and staying close to development through delivery. You’ll use AI tools to explore and work efficiently, while keeping your own judgement at the centre.\nAbout the role\nSignifica works with complex clients, including organisations in regulated sectors such as energy supply. In this role, you’ll be the client’s day-to-day design contact, building a trusted relationship and taking ownership of the design process from discovery through implementation. You’ll work closely with project managers, developers and the wider Significa team, and organise your workload to keep priorities, timelines and expectations clear.\nWhat you will do\nLead the client relationship: act as the main design contact for a dedicated client account, building trust and keeping priorities, timelines and expectations clear.\nResearch user needs: plan and run interviews, workshops and usability tests, choosing methods that fit the question and turning findings into practical insights.\nShape journeys and interfaces: map user journeys, information architecture and flows, then develop them into wireframes and interactive prototypes. Use AI-assisted tools where they help you explore options faster.\nDesign for quality and accessibility: create polished, responsive prototypes that meet WCAG 2.1 AA expectations, working within and contributing to the client’s design system.\nHelp define scope: work with project managers and developers to capture requirements, user stories and simple process flows where needed.\nNavigate regulated environments: work with compliance reviews, legal and brand sign-off, and several layers of approval.\nPresent and align: explain your design rationale to client stakeholders, gather feedback and help agree on next steps.\nStay involved through development: hand off clear specifications, answer developer questions and review the quality of the implementation.\nOwn your workload: plan and prioritise your work, raise risks early and keep the wider Significa team informed.\nShare what you learn: bring useful AI workflows, tools and practices back to the team, with care for data privacy and client confidentiality.\nRequirements\nWhat we are looking for\nRelevant experience: at least 6 years of UX/UI design experience, ideally in an agency, consultancy or product team.\nEnd-to-end design experience: a track record of taking projects from research and discovery through UI design and delivery.\nEnterprise or regulated environments: some experience in sectors such as banking, insurance, healthcare or public services, or a strong interest in working in these settings.\nConfident Figma skills: including components, auto layout and prototyping.\nPractical use of AI: hands-on experience using AI tools in design or research, with a clear understanding of where they help and where human judgement is needed.\nA thoughtful portfolio: examples that show both your design work and how you approached the problem.\nClear communication: strong English communication skills and confidence presenting your work to clients.\nNice to have\nExperience in client-facing design work.\nExperience writing user stories.\nPrototyping with AI or no-code tools.\nExperience contributing to design system governance.\nDon’t tick every box?
