The role is responsible for application lifecycle management, software license management, deployments, monitoring, reporting, troubleshooting, and continuous service improvement to deliver secure, reliable, and efficient application services for R&D and engineering teams.\nKey Responsibilities:\nApplication Management\nManage the lifecycle of R&D and Engineering applications, including installation, configuration, deployment, upgrades, patching, maintenance, and retirement.\nSupport application packaging, software distribution, migrations, upgrades, and technology refresh activities.\nMonitor application availability, and performance to ensure reliable application services.\nManage incidents, service requests, problems, and changes in accordance with ITIL processes and agreed service levels.\nPerform application testing, validation, and post-deployment verification.\nProvide Level 2 technical support for application installation, configuration, access, and troubleshooting.\nCoordinate with infrastructure teams, software vendors, and business stakeholders to resolve technical issues and support planned maintenance and upgrades.\nMaintain application documentation, knowledge articles, standard operating procedures, and technical documentation.\nAdminister both on-premises and cloud-hosted application environments.\nLicense Management\nAdminister software licenses, license servers, and licensing infrastructure for engineering applications.\nManage multiple licensing models, including Concurrent, Named User, Subscription, and SaaS licensing.\nMonitor application and license utilization to optimize software consumption, availability, and compliance.\nMaintain license inventories, entitlement records, and compliance documentation.\nGenerate operational reports, dashboards, KPIs, and license utilization metrics using reporting tools.\nAnalyse usage trends and recommend license optimization opportunities.\nSupport software audits, license renewals, entitlement updates, and license allocation activities.\nTroubleshoot licensing issues and coordinate with software vendors for timely resolution.\nProcess Improvement\nIdentify opportunities to improve application support processes through standardization, automation, and operational best practices.\nEnsure compliance with organizational IT policies, security standards, and operational procedures.\nContribute to knowledge management and continuous service improvement initiatives.\nQualifications:\nBachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Mechanical or a related discipline.\nITIL Foundation or relevant technical certifications are an added advantage.\nRequired Skills:\nMinimum 2+ years of experience in Application Management, Application Support, or Software License Management\nExperience with application lifecycle management, including installation, configuration, upgrades, patch management, software distribution, and coordination with enterprise application deployment and monitoring teams.\nKnowledge of software licensing concepts, license administration, and licensing models.\nFamiliarity with enterprise license management technologies such as FlexNet Publisher (FlexLM), Flexera, Dassault Systemes License Server (DSLS), Siemens License Server (SLS), Sentinel RMS, or similar licensing solutions.\nExperience using reporting and dashboarding tools such as Power BI, Excel, or similar platforms.\nFamiliarity with application and infrastructure monitoring tools.\nExperience with ITSM tools (ServiceNow) for Incident, Problem, Change, and Service Request Management.\nBasic understanding of Windows and Linux server environments.\nBasic scripting or automation skills using PowerShell, Python, or Shell scripting are an advantage.\nStrong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and stakeholder management skills.\nPreferred Skills:\nFamiliarity with Software Asset Management (SAM) practices.\nExposure to cloud platforms and SaaS application administration.\nBasic knowledge of SQL for reporting and data analysis.\nUnderstanding of ITIL service management principles.\nEverything we’ll do for you\nYou can grow a lasting career here.
