What you design and prototype during this internship may be directly used in future product development programs.\nYou will collaborate closely with our product development team (engineering and product management) and the printer & material team, gaining hands-on experience in an industrial R&D environment where ideas rapidly move from concept to physical prototypes.\nWhat makes this role unique is the level of ownership and impact you will have as an intern: you are encouraged to define your own approach, take responsibility for your work, and actively shape solutions that matter.\nThis internship is meant for a Mechanical Engineer student who wants to work on the technical product design, but not on theaesthetic design of the product.\nDesigning and developing mechanical concepts for new 3D-printed product archetypes using Solid Edge.\n\nTranslating ideas into functional CAD models and physical prototypes.\n\nWorking hands-on with FDM 3D printing technologies, materials, and test setups.\n\nCollaborating in a multidisciplinary team environment, sharing insights and learning from experienced engineers.\n\nTaking ownership of your projects, from concept definition to prototype validation.\n\nMore about you\nWhile we value and appreciate all applicants, we believe that the following experience and skills will be needed to shine brightly in this job opening:\nYou are a Bachelor's or Master's student in Mechanical Engineering (or similar), with a strong interest in product design and additive manufacturing.\n\nYou have experience or a strong interest in 3D printing.\n\nFamiliarity with CAD tools as Solid Edge or SolidWorks (or similar) for CAD modelling.\n\nYou enjoy hands-on engineering and are comfortable building and testing physical prototypes.\n\nYou are self-propelling, proactive, and able to structure your own work, showing ownership and accountability.\n\nYou collaborate openly, are curious to learn, and enjoy working in diverse, multidisciplinary teams.\n\nCreative and self-motivated mindset.\n\nFluent in English is required (spoken & written).\n\nYou are available to do an internship for at least 6 months in our Signify office in Eindhoven.\n\nIf you have a portfolio of project examples that you are proud of, please share it with us, together with your CV in the application.
