You will report to the Sustainability & Due Diligence Lead in Signify and work closely with colleagues responsible for human rights and due diligence processes with teams outside of the sustainability department. Your responsibilities include:\nSupport the continuous improvement of Signify’s human rights due diligence and monitoring processes, with a focus on our salient human rights risks in our own operations.\nConduct research and analysis on emerging human rights and sustainability regulations to identify new requirements and support implementation planning.\nReview evolving international standards, guidance, and best practices related to human rights due diligence, responsible business conduct, and social sustainability.\nSupport the development and implementation of Signify’s Just Transition workplan, including research, stakeholder engagement, and project coordination activities.\nAnalyze social impact, risk, and performance data to identify trends, improvement opportunities, and insights for decision-making.\nContribute to the development of practical tools, processes, and methodologies that translate due diligence concepts and frameworks into operational practices.\nConduct benchmarking of peer companies, industry initiatives, and leading practices related to social impact and human rights management.\nMore about you\nWhile we value and appreciate all applicants, we believe that the following experience and skills will be needed to shine brightly in this job opening:\nCurrently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Sustainability, Human Rights, Public Policy, International Relations, Business Ethics, Law, Social Sciences, or a related field.\nGood English, both written and spoken.\nAvailable to start an internship in January or February 2027, full-time (40 hours per week), for a period of 6 months. \nStrong analytical and research skills, with the ability to synthesize complex information into clear insights and recommendations.\nInterest in human rights due diligence, social sustainability, responsible business conduct, and sustainability regulation.\nAbility to translate concepts, frameworks, and theoretical models into practical processes, tools, and business applications.\nAbility to work independently while effectively collaborating with diverse stakeholders.\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to draft concise and well-structured materials.\nProactive, curious, and hands-on mindset, with a willingness to learn and contribute across a wide range of sustainability topics.\nWhat you’ll get in return…\nContinuous mentoring and feedback throughout your internship.\nInternship allowance; the exact amount depends on your situation (also towards rented accommodation or public transportation).\nPaid leave on the basis of 1 day per month.\nExtensive set of tools to drive your career, such as a personalized learning platform.\nOpportunity to purchase products in the staff shop at reduced prices.\nWe’re offering multiple opportunities for career development, like mentoring, coaching and stretch assignments, with strong international exposure for dynamic profiles.
