Our culture of continuous learning, creativity, and commitment to diversity and inclusion empowers you to grow your skills and career.\nJoin us, and together, we’ll transform our industry, making a lasting difference for brighter lives and a better world.\nMore about the role\nThis is an exciting job opportunity for you to light the way as a System Engineer in Italy with Signify.\nThe annual base salary for this role starts at 40,650 euros and can go up to 54,200 euros.\nWhat you will be doing:\nBring Systems to Life\nSupport the activation and commissioning of systems - from powering up to fine-tuning performance.\nCarry out on-site checks to verify functionality and ensure everything runs as intended.\nCollaborate with project teams to make sure systems are handed over in full working order.\nDiagnose and resolve issues during commissioning to ensure a clean and reliable launch.\nCapture the Story\nDocument commissioning results and service actions in digital forms, checklists, or reports.\nMaintain clear records of system configurations, updates, and issue history.\nContribute insights from the field or remote platforms to help improve system reliability and user experience.\nMonitor, Manage, and Maintain\nUse remote tools and platforms to track system status, performance, and alerts across multiple sites.\nAnalyze data logs and dashboards to detect early signs of malfunction or deviation.\nCoordinate on-site interventions only when necessary, based on remote diagnostics.\nSchedule or trigger preventive tasks and firmware updates from a central interface.\nBe the On-Site (and Remote) Expert\nRepresent the technical side of the project both on-site during commissioning and remotely during operation.\nProvide guidance to field teams or clients using clear, actionable communication.\nStay alert to system behavior and always prioritize safety, uptime, and performance.\nMore about you\nWhile we value and appreciate all applicants, we believe that the following experience and skills will be needed to shine brightly in this job opening:\nTechnical Background\nEducational foundation in Electronics, Automation, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related vocational or technical field.\nUnderstanding of basic control systems, signal types (digital/analog), and low-voltage electrical installations.\nAble to read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical manuals.\nHands-on Experience\nExperience with wiring, commissioning, or troubleshooting of field devices.\nAbility to connect and configure field components according to wiring diagrams or project plans.\nExposure to communication protocols like DALI, Modbus, 0-10V, KNX, BACnet, or similar (even at a basic level).\nCapable of performing functional tests, checking inputs/outputs, and verifying system behavior.\nSoft Skills & Personal Traits\nStrong problem-solving mindset - methodical and calm when diagnosing issues.\nA safety-first attitude and awareness of standard electrical and site protocols.\nGood communication skills - able to interact with team members, clients, and supervisors professionally.\nFlexibility and adaptability to work in dynamic field environments, sometimes under time pressure.\nWillingness to learn new tools, systems, and technologies relevant to the role.\nSelf-motivated, reliable, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.\nOther Requirements\nFLUENT in Italian and good English skills\nValid driver’s license and willingness to travel between sites.\nAvailability for occasional evening or weekend work, especially during commissioning phases.\nEverything we’ll do for you\nYou can grow a lasting career here.
