Log in to Workday to apply through the Jobs Hub.\nPosition Summary\nResponsible for coordinating the activities of the general ledger for all SIH entities including developing, implementing and monitoring accounting systems for financial reporting.\nPrincipal Accountabilities\nStandards of Performance: Respect, Integrity, Compassion, Collaboration, Stewardship, Accountability, Quality\nEducation\nBachelor’s degree in Accounting\nLicenses and Certification\nN/A\nExperience and Skills\nTechnical Experience: 3 years Accounting, 1 year Healthcare Accounting preferred\nPhysical Activities\nIntermittent hand manipulation required\nIntermittent lifting and carrying of 20 pounds which can be modified\nRole Specific Responsibilities\nPrepares and posts journal entries with appropriate supporting documentation.\nAnalyzes all balance sheet accounts and prepares account reconciliations with appropriate supporting documentation and understands the relationships which exist.\nProcesses properly approved and documented invoices and payment requests, including sales tax returns.\nMonitors capital related transactions.\nAnalyzes AR and contractual accounts including balance sheet and income statement reserves, and understands the relationships which exist.\nMonitors cash related transactions.\nMonitors physician receivables and completes reports as required.\nMonitors grants, restricted donations and agency funds, completing reports as required.\nAnalyzes and prepares Hospital Auxiliary financial data.\nAnalyzes income statement account variances, determines operational explanation and corrects when appropriate.\nAnalyzes, prepares and distributes financial reports.\nCollaborates with management, auditors, and others to answer questions and articulate variances regarding all aspects of the financial statements.\nMonitors and processes closing of Workday applications, including allocations, in conjunction with month-end close.\nMaintains accurate, easy to follow, electronic procedures for each responsibility.\nDemonstrates ownership of work and interest in operational aspects of organization.\nDevelops new processes, disciplines and guidelines to ensure standardization of best practices. \nTakes external information and turns it into effective internal plans and actions. Interprets knowledge to anticipate opportunities and needs.\nInsures compliance with standards.
