With an innovative mind for new concepts and chemistry, laboratory benchwork contributes to the development of new technology platforms for new products. Conduct basic research into chemistry that is relevant to sealants and adhesives and their applications. Develop new products. Provide technical support to production plants and customers.\nSpecific Responsibilities:\nExecute feasibility studies and project designs on the bench to generate meaningful data for project progression\nBe organized, have a strong attention to detail, and effectively multitask projects.\nTest products according to Industry standards and Sika Procedures to ensure product quality and performance.\nParticipate in implementing new products/technologies to Sika factories.\nPerform initial material testing and gain material approvals from customers.\nInitiate and attend technical presentations from raw material suppliers.\nKeep accurate records and maintain good laboratory & QC notebook practice.\nVisit customer sites and provide technical solutions to customers.\nWork with internal customers: sales, marketing, EHS, and production in assigned activities\nParticipate in and contribute to TC Lyndhurst Safety, Nuage and 5S activities and interact with other Sika global platforms.\nMaintain a safe, tidy and harassment free work environment.\nProvide accurate and detailed reports using good data collection and analytic skills.\nMaintain assigned equipment in good operating condition.\nAttend all necessary training requested by the company\nLearn and follow Sika processes such as PDP, Monthly Reporting Contribution, …\nStrong teamwork and work in various team environments.\nMust be able to travel, approx. 10% of work time\nQualifications/Experience/Education:\nBS degree, preferably in Chemistry, Polymer Science, or Chemical Engineering; will also be considered.\n3 years of hands-on industrial laboratory experience. Experience in sealants and adhesives preferred.\nDesign of Experiments (DOE) experience preferred but not required.\nStrong presentation skills.
