Approximately 33,000 employees generated CHF 11.20 billion in sales in 2025.\n Broad Function and Purpose of Position: \nThe Maintenance Planner is responsible for planning, scheduling, and coordinating all maintenance activities to ensure equipment reliability and operational efficiency. This role manages work orders, preventive maintenance (PM) programs, spare parts inventory, and procurement, while serving as the key liaison between maintenance, production, and contractors. The planner also drives continuous improvement, supports technical development, and ensures maintenance work is executed safely and effectively. Work is performed under the general supervision of the Maintenance Supervisor.\nSpecific Responsibilities:\nActively participate in the plant’s Sika SAFE Program.\nUnderstand, comply, and regularly inspect the work area to ensure all safety policies and practices are followed and a high degree of industrial housekeeping is maintained at all times.\nDevelop detailed work plans for preventive and corrective maintenance, prioritizing tasks based on urgency, safety, and operational impact.\nCoordinate and schedule maintenance activities with production to minimize downtime and disruption.\nReview, prioritize, and distribute work orders daily; serve as the primary contact for all work order submissions.\nEnsure timely completion of work orders and preventive maintenance tasks.\nEstimate labor hours, materials, and resources required for each maintenance job.\nPlan and support large-scale maintenance events, including plant shutdowns and major equipment overhauls.\nMaintain and update all maintenance data within the FIIX CMMS, including work orders, asset history, and documentation.\nTrack, analyze, and report on maintenance performance metrics and effectiveness.\nPrepare reports related to maintenance activities, costs, and system improvements.\nManage and optimize spare parts inventory to ensure availability for both planned and emergency maintenance.\nLead procurement activities including specifying, quoting, and ordering parts, materials, tools, and equipment.\nMaintain detailed purchasing records and support budget tracking.\nDrive continuous improvement of inventory control and stocking strategies.\nAct as the central liaison between maintenance, production, contractors, and vendors.\nGather daily equipment and process updates from production and communicate maintenance priorities accordingly.\nAssist in coordinating contractor repairs and external service activities.\nEnsure clear communication and alignment across all departments regarding maintenance work.\nSupport operators and maintenance technicians in developing technical skills and equipment knowledge.\nReview equipment manuals and establish standard maintenance procedures and best practices.\nDevelop, document, and maintain standardized maintenance work instructions and procedures.\nContribute to the development and implementation of maintenance strategies to improve reliability and efficiency.\nProvide supervisory support to the maintenance team in the absence of the Maintenance Supervisor or Manager.\nAssist in training maintenance personnel on new procedures, systems, and best practices.\nPerform other work and special projects as required by Supervisor.\n Qualifications/Experience:\nEducation: High School diploma or equivalent required.
