Approximately 33,000 employees generated CHF 11.20 billion in sales in 2025.\n Overview of the Role\nThe Purchasing Coordinator is responsible for coordinating purchasing and managing inventory of resins, raw materials, and other production supplies for the Sika Gastonia plant. This role works closely with suppliers, production, warehouse, and other internal teams to maintain appropriate inventory levels, support production schedules, and ensure materials are available when needed.\nWhat We Are Looking For!\nPurchase resins, raw materials, and other plant supplies in line with production needs and purchasing procedures.\nMonitor inventory levels, usage, open orders, and projected requirements to help prevent shortages and excess inventory.\nCreate and manage purchase orders in SAP S/4HANA.\nTrack supplier confirmations, lead times, deliveries, and order changes; follow up on late or at-risk shipments.\nCoordinate with production, planning, and warehouse teams to understand material requirements and resolve supply issues.\nMaintain accurate purchasing and inventory information in SAP S/4HANA, including order and delivery records.\nCommunicate with suppliers about pricing, availability, specifications, delivery schedules, and order discrepancies.\nReview purchasing and inventory reports, identify potential issues, and recommend appropriate actions.\nHelp resolve discrepancies involving purchase orders, receipts, invoices, or inventory records.\nSupport supplier performance reviews, cost-control efforts, and continuous improvement initiatives.\nFollow company purchasing processes and applicable safety, quality, and recordkeeping requirements.\n What You Will Bring!\nBachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business, Operations, or a related field.\nExperience using SAP S/4HANA for purchasing, inventory, or related supply-chain processes.\nExperience in purchasing, procurement, inventory control, or supply-chain coordination.\nStrong organizational skills and attention to detail.\nAbility to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.\nEffective communication skills when working with suppliers and cross-functional teams.\nProficiency with spreadsheets and standard business software.\nExperience purchasing or managing inventory for resins, chemicals, raw materials, or manufacturing supplies.\nFamiliarity with production planning, inventory replenishment, and supplier lead-time management.\nExperience working in a manufacturing or plant environment.\nPerks & Benefits\n401k with Generous Company Match \nBonuses\nMedical, Dental, and Vision Benefits\nPaid Parental Leave\nLife Insurance\nDisability Insurance\nPaid time off, paid holidays\nFloating holidays + Paid Volunteer Time\nWellness/Fitness Reimbursements\nEducation Assistance\nProfessional Development Opportunities\nEmployee Referral Program & More!\nSika fosters a culture of entrepreneurship, empowering each individual to make decisions, learn from experiences, and shape their own career path.
