Approximately 33,000 employees generated CHF 11.20 billion in sales in 2025.\n The successful candidate will lead laboratory and field investigations, develop new products, optimize existing technologies, and collaborate with global cross-functional teams to bring innovative solutions from concept to market.\nThis role focuses on the research, testing, and commercialization of advanced corrosion inhibitor technologies and serves as a key link between corrosion science, concrete technology, and real-world construction needs supporting the research and development of innovative durability solutions for concrete and construction applications.\nSpecific Responsibilities:\nDevelop and evaluate corrosion protection technologies for concrete and reinforced structures.\nInvestigating corrosion initiation and propagation mechanisms\nStudying passivation, adsorption, and inhibitor film formation\nCorrelating inhibitor chemistry with corrosion performance\nDeveloping novel inhibitor technologies and synergistic formulations\nBuilding a mechanistic understanding of inhibitor-metal interactions\nCollaborating with universities and research institutes and monitor industry trends, emerging technologies, and relevant technical standards.\nEvaluating the corrosion performance of metallic materials, coatings, inhibitor systems, and construction-related substrates using electrochemical and analytical methodologies\nDesign, conduct, and interpret laboratory and field corrosion testing, including electrochemical methods.\nLead product development and optimization of corrosion inhibitor technologies.\nInvestigate corrosion-related failures and provide technical recommendations.\nAnalyze test data and prepare technical reports, presentations, and recommendations.\nSupport product scale-up, manufacturing implementation, and technology transfer.\nCollaborate with R&D, Technical Service, Product Management, Manufacturing, and external partners.\nProvide technical training and expertise on corrosion, durability, and testing methodologies.\nContribute to intellectual property development and technical documentation.\nEnsure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.\n MSc. degree in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Corrosion Engineering, Chemistry, Electrochemistry or a related field.
