What will you do in this role?
- Interns are responsible for providing assistanceand support to the accounting or audit project team under the supervision of a senior, supervisory senior, or manager.
- Requires an ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and communicate effectively with supervisory personnel.
- Obtain, analyze, and evaluate data from the client to perform tests to substantiate transactions, records, and reports.
- Review documents, transactions, records, reports, and methods for accuracy and effectiveness.
- Prepare sufficient documentation to support work performed, including workpapers and summarized data reports.
- Report task progress and status to senior, manager, or principal.
- Meet expectations for attendance, punctuality, company/client deadlines, and abide by all company policies.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
What do you need to succeed in this role?
- JuniororSenior status at time ofinternship
- Engaged in an accounting, cost accounting, IT, or Information Systems at a college or university
- Interested in pursuing CPA or CISA credentials
- Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team
- An interest in federal auditing and/or federal consulting
- Experienced in Microsoft Suite
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.

- Other requirements for federal reporting and accounting, such as U.S. Office of Management and Budget (OMB) bulletins and circulars, the U.S. Standard General Ledger (USSGL), etc.
In compliance with this state’s pay transparency laws, the base compensation rangefor this role is $29-30/hour.This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on severalfactors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.Compensation ranges for roles in our Government Services pillar are determined by contract with the specific government agency Sikich is servicing.
