This position will be primarily focused on oil-specific service and maintenance to start, with the opportunity to expand your knowledge and experience into other areas of HVAC as you grow with the company.\nIf you’re a motivated technician who wants to build your skills, learn more about HVAC and be part of a team that supports your growth, we want to talk to you.\nWhat You’ll Do\nPerform maintenance, service and repairs on oil-fired furnaces, boilers and water heaters\nDiagnose and troubleshoot oil heating systems\nService and maintain Beckett, Riello and Carlin oil burners\nPerform oil burner cleanings, tune-ups and preventative maintenance\nTroubleshoot electrical, mechanical and combustion-related issues\nIdentify problems and recommend the appropriate repair or replacement options\nComplete repairs safely, correctly and efficiently\nCommunicate findings and recommendations clearly with homeowners\nProvide professional customer service from start to finish\nMaintain accurate job notes and documentation\nKeep your truck, tools and work area clean and organized\nFollow company safety procedures and industry best practices\nContinue developing your HVAC knowledge through hands-on experience and training\nWhat We’re Looking For\n2+ years of experience in the oil trade\nMassachusetts Oil Burner Technician License required\nHands-on experience servicing and maintaining oil-fired furnaces, boilers and water heaters\nExperience with Beckett, Riello and Carlin oil burners required\nStrong oil diagnostics and troubleshooting skills\nExperience performing oil maintenance and tune-ups\nOwn tools necessary to perform oil service and maintenance, or the ability and willingness to acquire the tools needed\nValid driver’s license and clean driving record\nAvailable Monday-Friday, approximately 40-50 hours per week\nDependable, professional and able to work independently and as part of a team\nStrong communication and customer service skills\nA willingness to learn and continue developing your HVAC skills\nHVAC experience is a plus, but not required.\nExperience with the following is preferred:\nNatural gas\nPropane\nAir conditioning\nHeat pumps\nMini-splits\nThe ideal candidate is a newer technician who is hungry to grow, eager to learn and wants to broaden their HVAC knowledge.
