We’re headquartered in Singapore, and we’re hiring a Solution Architect who works in our customers’ time zone and represents Silent Eight in every technical conversation with them.\nThe Role\nThis is a senior, hands-on, customer-facing technical role, with no people management involved. You’ll be the primary technical point of contact for our customers in Asia-Pacific and the Middle East, involved from the very first Proof of Value, where we show our software working on a customer’s own data, through deployment, production go-live and third-line support. When something doesn’t work on the customer’s side, you’re the one who finds out why and gets them unblocked. You’ll also support existing customers as they adopt new services, and act as the bridge between customers and our engineering team in Poland.\nThe role is fully remote, based in Singapore (preferred) or Poland, and works on Singapore time (GMT+8), with some flexibility. Travel is occasional, roughly twice a year, typically 2-3 days on site with a customer at project kick-off to discuss the implementation and technical details.\nWhat You’ll Do\nAct as the primary technical point of contact for Silent Eight customers in Asia-Pacific and the Middle East\n\nAnswer customers’ technical questions in pre-sales and Proof of Value calls: what the technology can and can’t do, and what we can configure for them\n\nRun Proof of Value engagements, demonstrating our software on customer-provided data\n\nPartner with clients to understand their infrastructure, tooling, technical and business requirements\n\nDesign and implement scalable, secure and maintainable solutions that integrate seamlessly with client systems\n\nEvaluate custom requests, present clear and feasible solution proposals, and provide effort estimations and delivery roadmaps\n\nPrepare high-quality documentation: design diagrams, architecture overviews and technical specifications\n\nGuide project teams and customer infrastructure teams through installation, go-live and post-implementation adoption\n\nProvide third-line support: investigate issues in customer environments, test solutions yourself and get customers unblocked\n\nCollaborate with Sales, Engineering and Product to align technical solutions with business goals\n\nBridge customers and our engineering team in Poland, keeping hand-overs across time zones smooth\n\nWhat We’re Looking For\nAt least 3 years of experience in solution or software architecture\n\nHands-on experience deploying and troubleshooting workloads on Kubernetes (pods, deployments, services, ingress, configuration and secrets), in the cloud or on-premise\n\nWorking knowledge of cloud building blocks such as managed Kubernetes, managed databases (e.g. PostgreSQL), object storage, networking and access policies (experience with AWS, Azure or GCP is a plus)\n\nStrong background in Java and good knowledge of microservices and distributed systems (Python is a plus)\n\nDeep understanding of OOP, SOLID principles, design patterns, integration patterns and test-driven development\n\nExperience designing and running production-grade deployments, both in the cloud (containerized workloads on Kubernetes) and on-premise (services running directly on VMs)\n\nHands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)\n\nGood working knowledge of Linux systems\n\nAbility to create clear, concise architecture documents and diagrams\n\nPractical, hands-on approach to problem solving, including testing solutions in your own environment before getting back to the customer\n\nEagerness to learn and keep up with new technologies\n\nPatience and composure when explaining technical topics to non-technical customers\n\nConfidence in presenting to customers and leading customer meetings independently\n\nBased in Singapore or Poland, with availability to work on Singapore time (GMT+8)\n\nExperience delivering to banks or insurers in regulated environments (e.g. MAS, APRA) is a strong plus\n\nWhat We Offer\nA B2B contract (Poland) or an employment contract (Singapore) with a competitive salary\n\nPaid days off to balance work and life in the way that suits you best\n\nFully remote work, forever, with occasional travel to customers\n\nA quarterly wellness allowance\n\nReal opportunities for promotion and development within the organization, including paid Development Days and in-house training\n\nA product that already works, with AI in production at Tier 1 banks, so you’re designing around something real\n\nPassionate leadership and a collaborative team\n\nThe chance to be an integral part of an award-winning, fast-growing RegTech company that values a friendly working atmosphere\n\nProcess\nRecruitment screening with People Ops -
