We offer competitive pay, generous benefits, and opportunities for advancement, but more importantly, we offer you the ability to make a real difference in the world.\nTogether we can create a brighter, cleaner future for generations to come.\n Essential Duties and Responsibilities\nMaintain facility equipment to maximize operating performance and assist with maintaining spare parts’ inventory levels.\nPerform repairs on equipment to restore it to proper and safe working conditions.\nTake data readings, and maintain logs to conform with local, state and federal requirements.\nTroubleshoot process operations and adjust as necessary to maintain optimal performance.\nUse handheld instruments such as voltage meter, LEL meter, gas detection meter, pH meter etc.\nEnsure the production schedule is not jeopardized due to process or equipment breakdown, or unsafe operating conditions.\nAlways follow LOTO procedures on unsafe equipment or equipment being serviced.\nComplete work orders to ensure preventive/predictive maintenance per manufacturers recommendations.\nMaintain organized work areas to comply with housekeeping and 5-S requirements.\nComplete electrical and mechanical repairs/projects based on direction given from the Facilities Manager.\nMaintain safety as a priority and adhere to all environmental rules and regulations.\nInitiate and complete all other jobs, projects and special assignments as directed by Facility Manager\nBe able to participate as an on-site emergency response team member.\nFollow PSM, RMP, and Permit requirements by maintaining equipment and documentation associated with the performance, maintenance and repair of the processes and equipment falling under these requirements.\nSkills\nExperience in operating a process and the ability to troubleshoot and correct process operations.\nExperience with chemical handling and safe work practices associated with chemical handling.\nKnowledge of WWT processes, mechanical chillers, boilers, HVAC units, pumps, gauges, valves, etc.\nElectrical and mechanical troubleshooting with the ability to use hand and power tools.\nExcellent inter-personal and communication skills\nTraits\nMotivated individuals that are team oriented.\nHigh degree of attention to detail, precision and follow through.\n Education and/or Experience\nMinimum 3-5 years of experience within a related field\nPreferred:\nAt least 8 years of experience in a manufacturing/industrial environment working in the facilities group.\nLicensed operator of a WWT system (SC Phys chem)\nKnowledge of mechanical chillers, cooling towers, emission scrubbers, boilers, industrial air compressors, water treatment system, HVAC systems etc.\nAssociate degree or certificate from technical trade school or higher\nMilitary experience in a mechanical role\nCompensation and Benefits\nCompetitive Market Wages\nPaid Time Off (vacation, sick, and holiday)\nEmployee Assistance Program\nMedical/Dental/Vision Insurance Plans\nEmployee Assistance Program\nTuition Reimbursement Program\nEmployee Recognition Programs\nEmployee PV Panel Purchase Program\nAdditional Information\nSilfab Solar is an Equal Opportunity Employer and is committed to fostering an inclusive workplace.
