Learn more atwww.silabs.com.\nThe Role\nWe are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior SQA (Software Quality Assurance) Manager to lead the quality strategy, planning, and execution for our platform, compute, and device driver software components. This role will be responsible for ensuring that our foundational software layers meet the highest standards of reliability, performance, and security across multiple product lines.\nThe ideal candidate will have a strong background in embedded systems, operating systems, and driver-level software, combined with proven leadership in managing QA teams and processes.\nKey Responsibilities:\n Leadership & StrategyLead and mentor a team of SQA engineers focused on platform, compute, and device driver validation.\nDefine and implement quality assurance strategies, processes, and metrics to ensure robust and scalable software releases.\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams (development, product management, hardware engineering, and customer support) to align QA priorities with product goals.\n\nQuality Planning & ExecutionDevelop comprehensive test plans, test cases, and automation frameworks for platform and driver-level software.\nEnsure coverage for functional, performance, stress, compatibility, and security testing.\nDrive continuous improvement in test methodologies, tools, and processes.\n\nTechnical OversightProvide technical guidance on embedded OS, compute frameworks, and device driver architecture to the QA team.\nOversee integration testing across multiple hardware platforms and operating environments.\nEnsure compliance with industry standards and internal quality benchmarks.\n\nProcess & ReportingEstablish and track KPIs for software quality, defect density, and release readiness.\nReport quality status, risks, and mitigation plans to senior management.\nChampion automation and CI/CD integration for QA workflows.\n\nQualifications:\nRequired:\nBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.\n15+ years of experience in software quality assurance, with at least 5 years in a leadership or management role.\nStrong understanding of embedded systems, operating systems (RTOS, Linux), and device driver development.\nExperience with test automation frameworks, scripting languages (Python, Shell), and CI/CD pipelines.\nProven track record of delivering high-quality software in complex, multi-platform environments.\nExcellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.\nPreferred:\nExperience in IoT platforms, wireless protocols, and security testing.\nFamiliarity with hardware bring-up and board support packages (BSP).\nKnowledge of regulatory compliance and certification processes.\nExperience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.\nBenefits & Perks\nNot only will you be joining a highly skilled and tight-knit team where every engineer makes a significant impact on the product; we also strive for good work/life balance and to make our environment welcoming and fun.\nEquity Rewards (RSUs)\n\nEmployee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP)\n\nInsurance plans with Outpatient cover\n\nNational Pension Scheme (NPS)\n\nFlexible work policy\n\nChildcare support.\n\nSilicon Labs is an equal opportunity employer and values the diversity of our employees.
