The primary objective is to enhance the overall quality of the SiSDK and Firmware product. Most of our customers are focused on building Internet of Things (IoT) products, ranging from smart homes to smart cities and smart metering.\nAs a member of the Budapest QA team, you will be tasked with ensuring comprehensive test coverage for Bluetooth Low Energy radio protocol features. You will be responsible for validating our embedded products using a Python-based automated test framework. You will frequently interact with the Software Development Team based in Budapest, Espoo (Finland), and other Software Quality Assurance (SQA) groups globally.\nIn this role, you will get to work with cutting-edge Silicon Labs Wireless products while ensuring that our products meet the requirement of the Bluetooth standards. Our Budapest SQA Team is responsible for validating our embedded products.\nTechnologies We Use\nPython, Cursor, Pytest, Jenkins, GitHub, Docker, Git, Cloud Based Computing, SQL Database, Windows, Linux.\nWhat You Will Do\nTake ownership of test planning, test strategy, and automation coverage for embedded wireless features.\nDesign, develop, and maintain Python/Pytest-based automated tests for functional and non-functional testing.\nLeverage AI-assisted development tools, such as Cursor, as an integral part of daily engineering workflows to accelerate test development, debugging, code analysis, and automation.\nAutomate, monitor, and improve test execution as part of continuous integration pipelines.\nIndependently investigate complex technical issues, perform root cause analysis, and collaborate with development teams to resolve defects.\nWork directly with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to communicate test results, progress, coverage gaps, and quality risks.\nCollaborate with application engineers to identify customer use cases and ensure appropriate test coverage.\nIdentify opportunities to improve testing efficiency, automation reliability, and overall product quality.\nShare technical knowledge and best practices with other team members.\nSkills Needed\nMinimum 5 years of professional experience in software testing, test automation, or software engineering.\nStrong proficiency in AI-assisted software development, with hands-on experience using tools such as Cursor or similar technologies to improve development efficiency, debugging, and test automation.\nStrong Python programming skills, including the ability to read, understand, debug, and maintain complex code, as well as critically review and validate AI-generated solutions.\nExcellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to independently investigate complex technical issues, identify root causes, and drive solutions.\nSolid understanding of software testing methodologies, test design techniques, risk-based testing, and test coverage analysis.\nHands-on experience in designing, developing, and maintaining automated test solutions.\nExperience with version control workflows and CI/CD pipelines.\nAbility to take ownership of technical challenges, work independently, and proactively drive improvements.\nStrong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to proactively and independently engage with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to discuss technical issues, testing progress, and quality risks.\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills in English.\nWe Consider the Following Experience a Plus\nExperience with embedded systems, firmware testing, or embedded C/C++ development.\nKnowledge of wireless communication protocols, particularly Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE), or other IoT technologies.\nExperience with hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testing and automated testing on physical devices.\nExperience in developing or improving test automation frameworks and test infrastructure.\nExperience in building AI-assisted workflows or introducing AI-driven improvements to engineering and testing processes.\nISTQB certification.\nEducation\nBSc/MSc in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field.\nBudapest Perks & Benefits\nYou would be working from our office in Budapest, in Graphisoft Park, next to the riverbank of the Danube.\nWe also offer:\nAnnual Budapest travel card or parking in the office garage \nGreat cafeteria system \nPrivate health care access \nLife and accident insurance for every employee \nContribution to a voluntary private pension fund \nAYCM card option \nPaid days for philanthropy \nThe annualized base pay range for this role is expected to be between Ft10,907,750 - Ft20,257,250.
