As Procurement & Supply Chain Manager, you will own that function end to end, from sourcing and negotiation through to purchasing controls and supplier performance. You will be accountable for cost, supply continuity and procurement risk across the business.\nYou will work closely with science, engineering and facilities teams, translating technical requirements into sound commercial outcomes. This is a role for someone who brings structure and commercial discipline to a fast-moving environment, is comfortable across both technical and commercial detail, and can build purchasing processes that scale with the business.\nRole responsibilities\nOwn end-to-end procurement for capital equipment, specialised materials and services across the business.\nSupport negotiation of supplier contracts, pricing and service levels, and maintain a supplier framework, onboarding and vendor data that balance cost, quality and continuity of supply.\nOversee inventory and materials planning to support the technical roadmap and manufacturing timelines.\nManage supplier risk, including due diligence, sole-source dependencies and contingency planning.\nWork with Legal and Compliance to apply export control, sanctions and dual-use screening to controlled goods.\nPartner with Finance on budget control, capex and opex approvals and spend reporting, and maintain purchasing systems and records to a robust and auditable standard.\nDeliver cost and efficiency improvements across the supply base, and report savings, supplier performance and supply risk to management.\nRaise and manage purchase orders, and process requisitions through to approval.\nCoordinate inbound logistics, freight and customs clearance for imported equipment and materials, including incoterms and delivery scheduling.\nExpedite open orders and track supplier lead times, resolving delivery delays before they affect production.\nValidate receipt of goods and services, and run goods receipting, stores and stock reconciliation.\nMatch purchase orders to invoices with Accounts Payable, and resolve pricing and quantity discrepancies.\nYour experience\nA demonstrable passion for technology and an interest in frontier tech.\nSubstantial procurement or supply chain experience, ideally in deep tech, advanced manufacturing, semiconductors or a comparable hardware environment.\nStrong contract negotiation skills and commercial judgement across capital and operational spend.\nWorking knowledge of export controls, sanctions and dual-use regulations, or the ability to develop it quickly.\nA track record of embedding purchasing controls and processes, ideally in a scaling environment.\nComfortable working across technical and commercial teams, translating requirements into clear supplier outcomes.\nA relevant tertiary qualification, or equivalent experience.\nEqual opportunity\nSQC is an equal opportunity employer.
