These tasks include the inspection, troubleshooting, diagnosis, and remedy of issues impacting the production of the solar PV facility. This includes repair and/or replacement of electrical and mechanical components and subcomponents such as contactors, breakers, motors, bearings, PV modules, PLCs, transformers, etc, as well as the troubleshooting of complex electrical systems.\nThe ideal candidate is a self-starter with a strong mechanical inclination and verifiable experience performing in a utility scale operations and maintenance role. Experience performing and leading maintenance tasks on DC, AC, and MV systems, communications equipment, and mechanical systems will translate well to this position.\nPV solar operations and maintenance experience is required to be considered for this role. Candidates must have direct on-site management experience at NERC-regulated facilities with a capacity of 100 MW or greater.\nMain Responsibilities\nPerform and lead scheduled preventive maintenance tasks at each facility, including the full PV system, UPS, SCADA, substation, and MV/HV/OHE systems.\nPerform and lead corrective maintenance tasks, both scheduled and unscheduled, at each facility, including the full PV system, UPS, SCADA, substation, and MV/HV/OHE systems.\nRespond to directives for emergency dispatches for critical systems as directed.\nLog all work performed via the Silicon Ranch CMMS platform.\nPerform electrical testing using IV Curve Tracers, Power Quality Meters, Insulation Resistance Testers, Multimeters, and other testing equipment as needed.\nAssist management with field investigations to support predictive analytics, root cause analysis, and serial defect reports.\nAssist in creating and reviewing preventative and corrective maintenance SOP’s, schedules, and checklists.\nProvide site access to third party contractors and as directed.\nAttend internal and external training sessions as directed.\nPerform other tasks as directed.\nProvide daily leadership, mentoring, and training to direct reports in the defined area of operations.\nSchedule preventative and corrective maintenance work in the defined area of operations.\nParticipate in regular update meetings with management, providing information and recommended actions for facilities inside the defined area of operations.\nMust be able to communicate effectively, collaboratively, and responsibly with team members and management.\nMust be able to work alone as a self-starter and work within a team driving towards a common goal.\nMust be able to stand for long periods of time.\nMust be able to work outside in most weather conditions.\nMust be able to lift 50 pounds.\nQualifications:\n· Advanced skills with computers and electronic equipment required.\n· Intermediate Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat required.\n· Working knowledge of NEC, NFPA70E, and OSHA standards.\n· Valid Driver’s License Required\n· OSHA 30 (must be obtained within 4 weeks of employment)\n· CPR/BLS (must be obtained within 4 weeks of employment)\n· State electrical license or NABCEP certification desired\nEducation:\n· High School Diploma or GED\nExperience:\n· Required experience includes PV solar operations and maintenance. Candidates must also have direct on-site management experience supporting NERC-regulated solar facilities of 100 MW or greater.\n· 4+ years of experience in the electrical trade, electrical maintenance, multicraft maintenance, or the completion of a recognized apprenticeship program required.\n· 1+ years of experience in utility scale solar PV operations and maintenance required.\n· Experience with MV/HV systems, IT systems, inverters, T&D systems, substations, or other specialized electrical systems highly desired.\nOur interview process:\nA typical interview process at Silicon Ranch might include the below stages.
