In this role, you will be responsible for owning and optimizing SKU-level demand forecasting, inventory strategy, and replenishment planning across retail, wholesale, and DTC channels in North America (Canada and the US). You will collaborate closely with Logistics, Merchandising, Marketing, and Finance to ensure optimal in-stock positions, prevent excess inventory, and support seamless new product launches (NPI) in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.\nIn this role you will:\nBuild, refine, and maintain 12-to-18-month rolling SKU-level forecasts across DTC, retail, and wholesale channels in Canada and the US.\nIncorporate historical sales data, seasonality, promotional calendars, marketing campaigns, and market trends to ensure high forecast accuracy and minimal bias. \nSet and monitor reorder points, safety stock levels, and inventory targets across regional distribution centers and 3PL networks. \nManage Open-To-Buy (OTB) guidelines, manage inventory health for odd-sizing/odd-colors, track weeks of supply, and mitigate risks of stockouts or aged/excess inventory.\nPlan and initiate inter-warehouse transfers (storage to fulfillment, cross-coast, Canada to US), accounting for lead times, inbound containers and DC space constraints. \nTranslate validated demand into firm Purchase Orders (POs) with accurate Cargo Ready Dates (CRDs). \nCoordinate with overseas suppliers and internal inbound logistics teams (Manager, Supply & Inbound Operations) to verify lead times, order accuracy, and vendor compliance.\nPartner with Marketing, Merchandising, CX, and Retail Operations on promotional readiness, site changes, product lifecycle decisions (NPI and EOL sell-through), and S&OP pre-reads. \nPartner with Finance on working capital management, landed cost analysis, and budget reconciliation.\nMaintain demand planning dashboards and report weekly/monthly on forecast accuracy, forecast bias, inventory turns, in-stock rates, and vendor actuals vs. forecast to leadership.\nContinuously improve forecasting methodologies, standardize planning templates/SOPs, and leverage ERP and planning tools (e.g., Fulfil.io, Shopify, Power BI) to scale operations efficiently.\nThe Qualifications and Experience we like to see:\nBachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related quantitative field.\n3-5 years of progressive experience in demand planning, inventory strategy, or supply chain planning within an omnichannel retail, e-commerce, or consumer goods environment (DTC experience preferred).\nAdvanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets (pivot tables, advanced formulas, financial/statistical modeling).\nStrong quantitative and statistical fluency with a clear understanding of signal vs. noise in demand forecasting and safety stock modeling.\nHands-on experience with ERP systems, inventory management software, and e-commerce platforms (e.g., Fulfil.io, Shopify, NetSuite, ApprovalMax).\nExperience planning for long-lead, overseas-sourced products, including container shipments and managing cargo ready date (CRD) slippage. \nComfort building processes from scratch with limited systems. \nSolid financial literacy with comfort around working capital, Open-To-Buy (OTB) constraints, landed cost analysis, and margin implications.\nExceptional cross-functional communication and relationship-building skills to collaborate effectively across Marketing, CX, Retail, Sourcing, and Finance.\nStrong problem-solving capability, attention to detail, process adherence, and ability to manage multiple competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment.\nExperience with Business Intelligence and visualization tools such as Power BI, BigQuery, or SQL.\nPrior experience planning across both Canadian and US markets across multi-channel distribution networks (DTC, Retail, Wholesale).\nFamiliarity with home goods, furniture, or bedding categories and multi-facility 3PL supply chain logistics.\nWhy our team members enjoy working at Silk & Snow:\nWe prioritize diversity and inclusivity in our company culture\nGrowth opportunities with an emphasis on hiring from within\nYou will be exposed to a streamlined training process and receive guidance and support that will set you up for success during and after training\nYou can access our learning platform with lots of free courses taught by experts to support your personal and professional development\nWe offer a competitive benefits package, which includes but is not limited to medical, dental, and vision. \nEmployee discount on all products and a free mattress and bedding set offered upon completion of the probationary period\nMake a meaningful impact on our customers' sleep habits, contributing to their overall well-being\nWe foster a healthy work-life balance with our company's supportive environment\nThis is not just a job but a CAREER with potential opportunities for growth and advancement\nAdditional Information:\nThis is a current open position. The salary range for this position is $55,000.00 - $70,000.00 annually.
