Duties include installation, maintenance and repair of production or processing equipment.\nRequirements\nESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES\nComplies with established job safety practices, policies and procedures as specified in plant and corporate directives for the safe performance of the work assignment.\nPerforms various manual or mechanical production functions by operating, adjusting, and repairing the production equipment to meet customer specifications.\nDisassembles, overhauls, and rebuilds production equipment.\nPerforms troubleshooting on production equipment a required.\nPerforms preventative maintenance on production equipment as required.\nPerforms on-the-job training and development of assigned personnel.\nConducts inspection of in-process materials, parts, and tooling required for assigned area.\nResponsible for replenishing supplies, materials, parts, and tooling required for assigned area.\nRelieves operators for breaks.\nPerforms record keeping duties as required under the direction of management.\nAccesses, inputs, and retrieves information from the computer.\nCommunicates pertinent information to next shift.\nSupplies and maintains required hand tools.\nRotates through all workstations as needed.\nReviews SOPs and control plans relevant to their area on a regular basis.\nMay be required to work in other areas of production.\nInitiates, reviews, and follows all standard operating procedures (SOPs) for area of responsibility.\nEstablishes and maintains effective work relationships within the department, group, and the company. Includes ability to handle stress and to interact with others so as to establish and maintain a positive and productive work environment.\nRequired to work assigned schedule or 12-hour shifts. Working hours may vary as specified by management. Incumbent must be able to work overtime on a regular basis and/or be on call as directed by management.\nComplies with environmental regulations when using, dispensing, or handling hazardous and non-hazardous materials and wastes.\nFood Safety\nResponsible and required to notify management about actual or potential food safety issues; and empowered to act to resolve food safety issues within their scope of work. Possesses all basic and some advanced skills and knowledge. Has a thorough understanding of the total process flow. Specialized skills in mechanics, pneumatics, hydraulics, machining, welding and electrical may be required. Ability to use precision measuring instruments, perform basic mathematical calculations, and identify product defects.\nComputer Skills:\nMust have basic knowledge of a variety of computer software applications, in word processing, spreadsheets, and databases.?Must be able to operate and functionally use a computer.
