This role helps ensure accurate and timely billing while maintaining compliance with payer requirements and applicable regulations.\nBe a Difference-Maker with a Hospice Care Leader\nYou lead with accuracy, accountability, and a service mindset. You’re organized, comfortable managing multiple priorities, and able to work independently in a fast-paced healthcare environment. You understand that accurate billing and authorization processes are an important part of supporting exceptional care for patients and families.\nWhat You’ll Be Doing\nManage insurance verification and authorization processes\nProvide billing status updates during weekly billing review meetings\nComplete required reports accurately and within established timeframes\nSubmit required Medicaid documentation, including hospice election notifications, attestations, and addendums\nVerify patient eligibility monthly to confirm continued coverage and identify policy changes\nSubmit recurring authorization requests timely to prevent gaps in authorized services\nPerform daily billing audits and resolve billing hold errors promptly and efficiently\nMaintain accurate billing records and files\nRespond to requests and concerns from internal and external stakeholders\nMaintain knowledge of regulatory and financial requirements related to hospice billing\nParticipate in applicable meetings, training, and in-services\nPerform other duties as assigned\nQualifications\nHigh school diploma required; college coursework in business administration or a related field preferred\nExperience with insurance authorization and verification processes\nBilling experience preferred\nHospice experience preferred; palliative or supportive care experience strongly preferred\nProficiency with Microsoft Office applications and electronic medical record (EMR) systems\nKnowledge of applicable laws, regulations, standards, policies, and procedures related to billing services\nExcellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills\nStrong attention to detail and organizational skills\nAbility to remain composed and professional in stressful or emotionally challenging situations\nMust be comfortable working in an environment with pets (dogs and cats)\nAssociates must have reliable transportation to consistently meet attendance and punctuality standards\nStrong attention to detail and organizational skills\nWhy Choose Silverado?\nFortune Magazine Best Workplace in Aging Services™\nCertified Great Place to Work®\nStrong internal mobility\nAnticipated pay range\n$35—$38 USD\nSilverado offers the following benefits to eligible employees: \n401(k) matching\nHealth, Dental and Vision Insurance\nFlexible Spending Account (FSA)\nPaid time off\nTuition reimbursement and professional development assistance \nReferral program\nOther amazing benefits such as Pet Insurance, Auto and Home Insurance and Discount Programs!\n* Silverado does not accept candidates from outside recruiters or agencies for this role. *\nCalifornia Employees: For roles requiring driving, the driving requirement has been deemed essential to the performance of this role due to specific business necessity.
