It’s the way you want to be treated.\nPosition Summary: Assists in delivery of primary healthcare, patient care management, and some clerical duties (as needed) in an ambulatory environment. Demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span and the skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, employees, and the public.\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities:\nCall Center Support:\nAnswering incoming calls for all providers within SCMG\nRouting messages correctly with attention to details within messages\nUpdating & validating patient demographics & insurance\nOther duties include:\nSupport multiple providers simultaneously, providing any necessary services to remain on schedule throughout the day\nMonitor patient messages and triage patient calls\nNotify patients of lab results and medication refills, as directed\nObtain prior authorizations for medications\nRequirements:\nKnowledge of medical practice to assist in patient care.\nKnowledge of examination, diagnostic, and treatment room procedures.\nKnowledge of medical equipment and instruments to administer patient care.\nKnowledge of common safety hazards and precautions to establish a safe work environment.\nCandidate must live within 1 hour from Silver Cross Hospital main campus to ensure capability to report onsite for downtime procedure or meetings.\nEducation:\nHigh school diploma or GED required.
