RESPONSIBILITIES:\n\nQuality Ownership & Functional Testing : \nCollaborate with Product Managers and Engineering teams to understand requirements, clarify acceptance criteria, and define test strategies early in the development lifecycle.\nEstablish and maintain QA standards, processes, and best practices for consistent quality across teams.\nValidate that delivered features meet functional, non-functional, and business requirements with a strong focus on usability and reliability.\nAnalyze test results to identify defects, behavioral risks, and edge cases, and recommend preventive solutions.\nTrack and report quality metrics such as defect leakage, automation coverage, release readiness, and data accuracy.\nProactively identify risks and challenges within a sprint and propose remediation or process improvements.\nDrive assigned initiatives independently, with a strong sense of ownership.\n\nTest Automation & Engineering :\nDesign, implement, execute, and maintain automated and manual test cases across web, API, and backend systems.\nBuild and maintain a robust automation suite that is used consistently across releases.\nDrive in-sprint automation, ensuring that new features are automated as part of development rather than post-release.\nPartner with developers to improve testability, observability, and environment stability.\nIntegrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to support continuous delivery\n\nData & Analytics Quality Assurance (Explicit Focus) :\nBasic validation of data flows between source systems and reports or dashboards.\nVerify correctness of key data fields in reports and analytics views.\nPerform simple data checks by comparing source data with reporting outputs (OLTP databases, payment gateways, CRMsystems like HubSpot) and downstream analytics platforms.\nValidate reports, dashboards and metrics for accuracy, completeness, and consistency.\nIdentify and help prevent common analytics issues such as data drift, duplication, late-arriving data and broken joins.\nCollaborate with developers and analysts to clarify data-related test scenarios.\nHands-on experience in writing SQL queries with joins for data validation and testing\n\nNon-Functional Testing :\nExecute and guide performance, reliability, and basic security testing.\nValidate system behavior under load, stress, and failure scenarios.\nWork with Engineering and DevOps teams to identify and mitigate production risks early.\n\nREQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:\n5-7 years of hands-on experience in software quality engineering\nStrong experience testing modern web applications and APIs\nExperience testing data-intensive or analytics-driven systems is required\nMobile application testing experience is a plus\n\nAutomation & Programming :\nProficiency in at least one programming language: Java, C#, or Python\nHands-on experience with automation frameworks: Selenium and Appium for Mobile automation\nStrong understanding of automation design patterns and best practices\nHands-on use of AI-assisted tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Copilot) for test design, automation or analysis\n\nTechnical Stack Exposure (Preferred):\nRESTful APIs and microservices-based architectures\nRelational databases and SQL (advanced querying for validation)\nCloud-based environments (AWS preferred)\nCI/CD pipelines
