the Role : \n\nWe are seeking a QA Engineer with a strong automation-first mindset and hands-on experience testing web applications, APIs, and data/analytics systems.\n\nThis role is ideal for someone Collaborate with Product Managers and Engineering teams to understand requirements, clarify acceptance criteria, and define test strategies early in the development lifecycle.\n\n- Establish and maintain QA standards, processes, and best practices for consistent quality across teams.\n\n- Validate that delivered features meet functional, non-functional, and business requirements with a strong focus on usability and reliability.\n\n- Analyze test results to identify defects, behavioral risks, and edge cases, and recommend preventive solutions.\n\n- Track and report quality metrics such as defect leakage, automation coverage, release readiness, and data accuracy.\n\n- Proactively identify risks and challenges within a sprint and propose remediation or process improvements.\n\n- Drive assigned initiatives independently, with a strong sense of ownership.\n\nTest Automation & Engineering : \n\n- Design, implement, execute, and maintain automated and manual test cases across web, API, and backend systems.\n\n- Build and maintain a robust automation suite that is used consistently across releases.\n\n- Drive in-sprint automation, ensuring that new features are automated as part of development rather than post-release.\n\n- Partner with developers to improve testability, observability, and environment stability.\n\n- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to support continuous delivery.\n\nData & Analytics Quality Assurance : \n\n- Basic validation of data flows between source systems and reports or dashboards.\n\n- Verify correctness of key data fields in reports and analytics views.\n\n- Perform simple data checks by comparing source data with reporting outputs (OLTP databases, payment gateways, CRM systems like HubSpot) and downstream analytics platforms.\n\n- Validate reports, dashboards and metrics for accuracy, completeness, and consistency.\n\n- Identify and help prevent common analytics issues such as data drift, duplication, late-arriving data and broken joins.\n\n- Collaborate with developers and analysts to clarify data-related test scenarios.\n\n- Hands-on experience in writing SQL queries with joins for data validation and testing.\n\nNon-Functional Testing : \n\n- Execute and guide performance, reliability, and basic security testing.\n\n- Validate system behavior under load, stress, and failure scenarios.\n\n- Work with Engineering and DevOps teams to identify and mitigate production risks early.\n\nRequired Skills : \n\n- 5 - 7 years of hands-on experience in software quality engineering.\n\n- Strong experience testing modern web applications and APIs.\n\n- Experience testing data-intensive or analytics-driven systems is required.\n\n- Mobile application testing experience is a plus.\n\nAutomation & Programming : \n\n- Proficiency in at least one programming language : Java, C#, or Python.\n\n- Hands-on experience with automation frameworks : Selenium and Appium for Mobile automation.\n\n- Strong understanding of automation design patterns and best practices.\n\n- Hands-on use of AI-assisted tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Copilot) for test design, automation or analysis.\n\nTechnical Stack Exposure : \n\n- RESTful APIs and microservices-based architectures.\n\n- Relational databases and SQL (advanced querying for validation).\n\n- Cloud-based environments (AWS preferred).\n\n- CI/CD pipelines and version control systems.\n\nWhat Success Looks Like : \n\n- Defects are caught early, not in production.\n\n- Automation is reliable, fast, and
