In return, you will be at the cutting edge of new technology, learning new skills and gaining certifications that are recognized and respected across the industry.\nOur advanced Security Operations Centre (SOC) uses a combination of established solutions and cutting-edge internally developed technology to protect IT networks from a wide range of cyber threats on a 24x7x365 basis, with a particular focus on protecting organizations that are threatened by sophisticated, targeted attacks. This includes operational responsibility for all in-life services delivered to customers across a wide variety of market sectors.\nThis is a hands-on entry-level security analyst position for a 24x7 team; responsible for analyzing and responding to all security, and service-related events. In this role, you will be the first line of support for the clients’ security concerns. You will monitor security consoles, escalate change requests and security events to the proper department.\nWhat you’ll be doing.\nMonitor and analyze Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS), Anomaly Detection Systems (ADS), Firewall event logs, and Security Incident and Event Management (SIEM) toolset event logs to identify security attacks and threats for remediation/suppression.\nAssist in Computer Security Incident Response activities for large organizations as a 1st line security analyst to identify various malicious threats in enterprise environments.\nEnsure timely accurate communications of alerts to IT, Network or Security groups regarding intrusions and compromises to their network infrastructure, applications and operating systems.\nAssist Senior Analysts with the implementation of counter measures or mitigating controls.\nAlthough not directly accountable for changes to policy and guidelines, you will be required to make recommendations to improve operational effectiveness and efficiency.\nWhat does it take to succeed in this role? \nKnowledge of technologies including but not limited to; Firewalls, IPS & IDS, Active Directory, Windows Server, Linux, TCP/IP, Networks, AWS, CDN's, Vulnerability management and SIEM, DRM preferred\nBasic knowledge in cyber security\nFundamental knowledge of Security Administration\nKnowledge of incident containment, recovery, and mitigation\nExcellent customer service skills\nStrong analytical and excellent problem-solving skills\nWilling to work flexible schedules as part of a 24 hours, 7 days a week, 365 days service delivery environment\nExcellent written & verbal skills\nAttention to detail\nRequired to earn Sec+ within 6 months of beginning employment.\nUnderstanding SLA requirements within a Security Operations Centre.\nIn addition to your technical expertise, we expect respect, opinions, and thoughtful inputs.\nWork Arrangement\nThis is a remote position open to candidates residing in Guam or Hawaii.
