And our tuition reimbursement program is the perfect springboard to help you get there!\nAs a Silvi MaterialsBatch Plant Operator one will be assigned to a home plant location and will be required to also fill in as a batch plant operator as needed within their area. The Batch Plant Operator will be reimbursed for any additional miles traveled when needed at other locations. Batch plant operators will perform any combination of following duties in a concrete batch plant: daily plant inspections, preventative, and minor repair maintenance; operation of the loader and forklift; operation of the batching process. One will ensure proper documentation of all incoming materials daily.\nSo, what does a Batch Plant Operator do? You'll be an integral part of our operations team:\nCompleting numerous and simultaneous tasks in:\nResponsible for the operation of concrete batching process to ensure the correct amount and sizes of aggregates and proportions of cement, additives, and water required for concrete are added, participates in ordering and inventory of raw materials needed for daily concrete production.\nFollows procedures set in place to correct any deficiencies in plant operation\nInteracts with QC, Drivers, Dispatch, and sales team to ensure product meets specifications\nEnsures assigned established performance indicators are met\nWorks toward improvement of the assigned plant and surrounding area\nFollows established procedures to ensure that the plant for which he/she is responsible is in compliance with state, federal, and local regulations and requirements.\nParticipates in ongoing maintenance and visual evaluations of plant and equipment.\nConfers with plant supervisor, other supervisory personnel to resolve problems, provide immediate feedback, and may recommend solutions to improve performance.\nPromotes safety within his/her assigned territory.\nAdhere to all Silvi and OSHA rules and regulations at all times.\nWear proper safety equipment while on plant grounds.\nPerform other job responsibilities as assigned by management.\nQualifications Required as a Silvi Materials Maintenance Mechanic:\nHigh school diploma or equivalent; some technical, vocational or education preferred.\nWorking knowledge of OSHA/DOT regulations helpful\nMeet or exceed company safety standards.\nBasic concrete knowledge \nKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities:\nFamiliar with WINDOWS (basic applications), Internet, basic computer skills \nWorking knowledge of plant maintenance procedures \nWorking Conditions:\nAble to work extended hours as needed\nContinuous exposure to extreme heat, extreme cold, extreme noise, and working outdoors\nMust wear protective equipment while at the location\nPhysical Requirements:\nRequires stationary position, traverse, move, transport, and the ability to significant degree to operate, activate, use, prepare, inspect, place, detect, or position\nMust be able to work at heights; climb stairs, ladders, and silos\nExerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force frequently\nRequires Concrete chipping, shoveling, sweeping and greasing of plant equipment\nWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to communicate with employees and other individuals as well as function safely within an office environment and, on occasion, may visit industrial plant locations\nRequires stationary position, traverse, move, transport, and the ability to significant degree to operate, activate, use, prepare, inspect, place, detect, or position\nExerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force frequently\nWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to communicate with employees and other individuals as well as function safely within an office environment and plant locations \nMust be able to work at heights;
