As a Terminal Maintenance Mechanic, you'll be an integral part of our terminal operations team:\nEnsures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing PM requirements on motors, pneumatic systems, conveyor systems, and production-related equipment.\nDiagnose and repair basic hydraulic/pneumatic systems, conveyor belts.\nRemove defective part dismantling devices; using hoists, cranes, and hand and power tools\nDetermines changes in dimensional requirements of parts by inspecting used parts; using rules, calipers, micrometers and other measuring instruments\nAdjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments by using hand tools, levels, plumb bobs, and straightedges\nMaintains technical knowledge by attending education workshops; reviewing technical publications and working with vendors to stay current with plant technology\nMaintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulation.\nCoordinate, verify and report down time for the assigned shift.\nCommunicate with management regarding condition of critical plant equipment to minimize down time.\nPerforms general labor as required, including landscaping/yard work, painting and general maintenance.\nQualifications\nValid Driver's License.\nAt least one year’s experience in industrial maintenance required.\nPossess a working knowledge of Hydraulic and Pneumatic systems.\nExperience in steel fabrication and welding highly preferred.\nExperience in electrical panels and electrical machinery.\nExperience in the maritime, shipping port, dock, or cement/concrete industry highly preferred.\nKnowledge of varied types of motors and their operation highly preferred.\nAbility to read and interpret maintenance manuals, using diagram schematics and parts manual highly preferred.\nMust have willingness to put in extra hours of work when necessary\nKnowledge and experience with safety regulations, i.e. OSHA, MSHA, as they apply to the operation a plus.\nPhysical Demands\nIn a typical work setting, people in this job:\nLift 50 pounds regularly and up to 100 pounds on occasion.\nUse one or two hands to grasp, move, or assemble objects\nStand for long periods of time.\nKneel, stoop, crouch, bend, stretch, twist or crawl.\nHear sounds and recognize the difference between them.\nSee details of objects that are less than a few
