This role is responsible for delivering, developing, and maintaining technical training programs for new and existing Operations team personnel, including assemblers, technicians, and inspectors. The technical trainer maintains proper training documentation, ensures ISO 9001 compliance for training records, proctors IPC certification courses, and collaborates closely with Engineering, Production, and Quality teams to ensure personnel are properly trained according to Silvus standards, industry requirements, and customer expectations. \nThis position is fully onsite, Monday through Friday, at Silvus Technologies ‘Salt Lake City manufacturing site.\nThe following is a list of at least some of the current essential job functions of the position. Management may assign or reassign duties and responsibilities at any time at its discretion.\nROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES\nDeliver hands-on training for new Operations staff, including assembly, inspection, soldering, and equipment use.\nMaintain and update training curricula, training materials, skill assessments, and qualification\ndocumentation.\nEnsure training records, matrices, and competency logs are complete, accurate, and maintained in accordance with ISO 9001 requirements.\nProctor and administer IPC-J-STD-001 and IPC-A-610 training and evaluations.\nMaintain a clean, organized, and fully equipped training area, including soldering stations, microscopes, tools, and training boards.\nUpdate training materials and curricula based on ECO changes, engineering updates, or process improvements.\nConduct refresher training and re-certification for Operations employees as needed.\nTrack new hire progress and training completion in collaboration with Production team leadership.\nSupport the Quality Engineering team by identifying skill gaps contributing to defects or rework and developing targeted training plans.\nAssist in generating or updating work instructions, visual aids, and operator guidance used in training.\nParticipate in internal and external ISO audits to provide training documentation and evidence of compliance.\nPerform other related duties, of which the above is representative.\nREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS\nHigh School Diploma or GED.\n3-5 years of hands-on experience in Electronics Manufacturing or Technical Training; OR completion of a 2-year college or technical program with at least 1 year of relevant training or operations experience.\nExperience delivering hands-on training or technical instruction in a Production or Manufacturing environment.\nExperience with soldering, PCB assembly, or inspection processes.\nExperience with maintaining training records or documentation.\nAbility to read and interpret schematics, drawings, work instructions, and inspection requirements.\nProficient with PC and familiar with MS Office.\nMust have excellent organizational skills, be highly attentive to detail, and have the capacity to handle numerous tasks simultaneously.\nExcellent and effective oral and written communication.\n Must be a U.S. Person (U.S. Citizen, or U.S. Permanent Resident) due to clients under U.S. federal contracts.\n All employment is contingent upon the successful clearance of a background check and drug test.\nPREFERRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES\nPrior experience in a fast-paced production/manufacturing environment.\nExperience writing technical procedures or training materials.\nFamiliarity with ISO 9001 training and competency requirements.\nIPC Certified Trainer (CIT) for J-STD-001 and/or IPC-A-610.\nWORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS\nOffice environment.\nOccasional exposure to heat, cold, and allergens while performing tests or demonstrations in the field.\nWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to do the following:\nLift equipment up to 25 lbs. for the set-up of demonstrations and testing.\nPerform bending and reaching movements to place items on lower and higher shelves.\nKneeling or squatting to access lower shelves.\nWalking/Moving in the labs.\nCOMPENSATION\nThe pay range is NOT a guarantee. It is based on market research and peer data, and will vary depending on the candidate’s experience and qualifications.\nCA Pay Range\n$80,000—$85,000 USD\nConsistent with Motorola Solutions values and applicable law, we provide the following information to promote pay transparency and equity.
