You will build and drive automated testing for UI, APIs, and data - including platforms such as Snowflake and SQL-based stores - and make testing a natural, built-in part of how we deliver, rather than an afterthought bolted on at the end. You will enable other engineers to test effectively, create transparency into quality and coverage across the data platform, and help embed testing into our CI/CD pipelines so issues are caught early and consistently. You will work in an agile environment, partnering closely with data engineers, while also being comfortable owning initiatives on your own.\nWHAT YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR\nLead the design, build, and optimization of automated test suites across UI, API, and data layers, including data validation and reconciliation testing against Snowflake and other SQL-based platforms\n\nDefine and drive the test automation strategy for the data platform, setting shared standards and best practices adopted across multiple teams\n\nEmbed automated testing into CI/CD pipelines so quality gates run consistently as part of every build, release, and deployment\n\nCollaborate with the team and stakeholders to define testing requirements and ensure alignment with business\n\nCreate transparency around test coverage, quality metrics, and known risks - through dashboards, reporting, and clear communication to technical and non-technical stakeholders\n\nEnable and mentor other engineers to write and maintain their own automated tests, raising the overall quality bar across teams rather than being the sole tester\n\nCollaborate closely with developers, data engineers, and architects to identify testing gaps and design testable systems from the outset\n\nTroubleshoot test failures and flaky tests, and continuously improve the reliability and speed of automated test suites\n\nContribute to documentation, best practices, and knowledge sharing on testing and quality across the data platform organization\n\nKEY SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS\n8+ years of practical experience setting up testing frameworks and writing automated tests for UI (e.g. SpecFlow) and API (e.g. REST Assured or similar)\n\nSolid SQL skills and practical experience testing data platforms such as Snowflake, including data validation, reconciliation, and pipeline testing\n\nExperience embedding automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (e.g. Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions) so testing runs as a natural part of build and release\n\nDemonstrated ability to work with minimal supervision and lead test strategy across multiple teams, while also collaborating effectively with developers, data engineers, and stakeholders\n\nClear communication skills - able to explain testing strategy, coverage, and risk clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences\n\nExperience mentoring or enabling other engineers to adopt good testing practices\n\nProgramming/scripting skills (e.g. Python, Java, C#) to build and maintain test frameworks and tooling\n\nDesirable:\nExperience with test reporting and quality dashboards\n\nFinance or investment management domain knowledge\n\nGenuine interest in AI, with practical experience using AI tools to speed up test creation and maintenance\n\nWHAT WE VALUE\nEnablement over gatekeeping - you help other teams test well rather than being the sole quality checkpoint\n\nTransparency - you make quality and test coverage visible and easy to understand for everyone\n\nOwnership & continuous improvement - you take end-to-end responsibility for test quality and constantly look to automate and simplify\n\nClear communication - you explain your reasoning and findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders alike\n\nOTHER REQUIREMENTS\nFlexibility in working hours\n\nHybrid working arrangements (at least 2x a week in the office)\n\nBENEFITS\nGlobal hybrid work policy - We ask you to work 2 days a week from the office.
