Within SMBS, Development & Scaling is establishing a new IT Team in Noida to build the operational tooling, applications, integrations and data solutions that let our services scale - a cornerstone of our 2026 scalability agenda.\nThis is a founding role. You will be the first hire: you set the technical direction, define the roles, hire and grow a team of ~5-6 full-stack developers, and own what the team ships. You are both the people manager and the team's Tech SME / Solution Architect - this is deliberately not a purely managerial role. You stay hands-on: designing solutions, reviewing code, and contributing to build on complex or foundational work, increasingly using an AI-assisted SDLC.\nThe team builds traditional software - operational tooling, applications, front ends and integrations (for example with SimCorp's product platform) - with a strong data-platform component built on Snowflake. You will work closely with the SMBS AI team, the Change & Upgrade engineering team (which provides shared QA), and SimCorp Platform & Infrastructure.\nWHAT YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR\nFounding and leading the new IT Team: defining roles, hiring, onboarding and growing ~5-6 full-stack developers, with responsibility for staffing and team development.\n\nActing as the team's Solution Architect - owning the technical solution framework, standards and design principles; ensuring solutions are secure, maintainable, scalable and reusable.\n\nTranslating business needs into technical designs for tooling, applications, front ends and integrations, working closely with SMBS service and delivery leaders.\n\nOwning the data-platform build on Snowflake - fast, reliable data in/out and integration patterns.\n\nStaying hands-on: solution design, code reviews, and production code on complex or foundational paths.\n\nLeading the day-to-day delivery cadence and release management of the team (no separate scrum/release role), with responsibility for both short-term deliverables and long-term improvements.\n\nCoordinating QA through the SMBS Change & Upgrade QA capability rather than a dedicated in-team function.\n\nCollaborating with other engineering leaders - the SMBS AI team and SimCorp Platform - on integration patterns, quality, security and delivery, keeping clear boundaries: application builds sit with this team, AI/agent solutions with the AI team.\n\nEstablishing coding standards, testing practices and deployment patterns; providing input to the strategic direction of the IT capability in SMBS.\n\nWHAT WE VALUE\nYou are an engineer at heart, with strong professional software development experience.\n\nYou have 5-8 years' experience leading software engineers, and demonstrated experience building or scaling a team.\n\nYou take pride in delivering sound, production-grade software solutions.\n\nYou have a deep understanding of core engineering practices - testing methodologies, coding, CI/CD, AI-assisted development, security and architecture - and can comprehend and guide your team's daily work.\n\nYou have a bias for delivery: you get solutions from concept to production quickly without compromising quality.\n\nYou build a collaborative and open culture, and work effectively across a large, international organisation at various levels.\n\nTechnical Skills\nExtensive experience with the .NET ecosystem (C#, .NET 6+, ASP.NET Core, Web APIs) building scalable, enterprise-grade applications.\n\nFull-stack proficiency: solid understanding of web application architecture (RESTful services, microservices / modular monolith, event-driven systems) plus working knowledge of modern UI frameworks (Angular, React or similar) - the team hires full-stack developers rather than dedicated front-end specialists.\n\nData-platform experience, ideally Snowflake - data modelling, SQL, and building data integration and pipelines; Python for automation and integration.\n\nExperience building and operating solutions on Microsoft Azure; cloud-native design principles, CI/CD pipelines, observability, resilience and scalability.\n\nStrong software-engineering practices - API design, secure coding, performance optimisation, distributed system design.\n\nFamiliarity with data storage technologies (SQL Server, NoSQL, caching strategies).\n\nGood to Have\nExposure to financial systems / capital-markets platforms or high-volume transactional systems.\n\nExperience with AI-assisted development tooling in the SDLC (e.g. Copilot, Claude).\n\nNice to Have\nYou have worked in an Azure or other cloud environment.\n\nYou have worked within the Capital Markets or another regulated domain.\n\nFamiliarity with SimCorp One / Dimension or comparable investment-management platforms.\n\nBENEFITS\nGlobal hybrid work policy - We ask you to work 2 days a week from the office.
