Purpose:\nResponsible for managing and coordinating technical support operations across technical projects, ensuring system readiness, regulatory compliance, and effective resolution of technical issues to enable successful mission delivery.\nResponsibilities:\nCross-Functional Collaboration\nAct as the technical liaison between project management, engineering, and operations teams.\nFacilitate knowledge transfer and documentation of technical processes and support protocols.\nSupport internal reviews, audits, and technical readiness assessments.\nTechnical Project Coordination\nLead the coordination of technical support activities across engineering, systems, and operations teams.\nTranslate technical requirements into actionable support plans aligned with project milestones.\nEnsure timely resolution of technical issues impacting project delivery.\nSystems and Infrastructure Support\nOversee the maintenance and performance of mission-critical systems, including satellite ground stations, telemetry systems, and integration labs.\nCoordinate upgrades, testing, and troubleshooting of hardware and software systems.\nEnsure system readiness for mission phases such as integration, testing, and launch.\nRisk and Issue Management\nIdentify and escalate technical risks and issues, ensuring mitigation strategies are implemented.\nMaintain a technical issue log and track resolution progress in collaboration with engineering leads.\nSupport root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.\nCompliance and Standards\nEnsure all technical support activities comply with required regulations, ECSS standards, and internal quality frameworks.\nMaintain accurate records of technical interventions, system changes, and support actions.\nResource and Tool Management\nManage technical support tools, diagnostic equipment, and software licenses.\nCoordinate internal training on support tools and systems to build team capability.\nReporting and Communication\nProvide regular updates on technical support status, risks, and performance metrics to project stakeholders.\nPrepare technical documentation, support reports, and post-mission reviews.\nSupport Readiness and Testing\nLead technical support readiness for key project phases, including integration, environmental testing, and launch campaigns.\nCoordinate simulations and dry runs to validate support procedures and team preparedness.\nRequired Qualifications:\nBachelor’s Degree or Advanced Diploma in Project Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field\nRequired Experience:\nTechnical Project Management\nMinimum 5 years’ experience managing technical projects in engineering, aerospace, IT infrastructure, or systems integration.\nProven ability to lead cross-functional teams and deliver complex technical solutions on time and within budget.\nSpace or Aerospace Sector Exposure\nExperience in space engineering, satellite systems, payload integration, or ground station operations is highly valued.\nFamiliarity with space-grade testing environments, mission support systems, and launch coordination.\nCompliance and Documentation\nExperience working within regulated environments, including SANSA, ISO, or ECSS standards.\nSkilled in preparing and managing technical documentation, support logs, and compliance reports.\nSoftware and Tools Proficiency\nProficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Jira, ClickUp) and technical platforms (e.g., MATLAB, STK, SolidWorks).\nExperience with ERP systems and technical reporting tools.\nStakeholder and Vendor Coordination\nExperience managing relationships with internal teams, external vendors, and international partners.\nAbility to translate technical requirements into actionable plans and communicate effectively with non-technical stakeholders.\nRecommendations:\nProject Management
