The role will focus on building automated data-quality frameworks, validating migrated data, performing source-to-target reconciliation, and ensuring data and BI outputs meet business requirements.\n\nThis is a hands-on engineering role requiring strong SQL, Python/PySpark, Microsoft Fabric/Azure, data validation, and reconciliation experience.\n\nKey Responsibilities :\n\n- Build and maintain automated data-quality and validation frameworks for Fabric pipelines.\n\n- Develop checks for row counts, completeness, nulls, duplicates, referential integrity, aggregations, variance, data freshness, latency, schema drift, and data anomalies.\n\n- Build automated source-to-target reconciliation between legacy and Fabric environments.\n\n- Compare row counts, aggregates, column values, and sampled records to identify migration issues.\n\n- Investigate data discrepancies and perform root-cause analysis across source, transformation, and target layers.\n\n- Validate incremental loads, CDC, historical loads, and late-arriving data.\n\n- Develop and maintain regression test suites for migrated data objects and transformations.\n\n- Validate Power BI semantic models, measures, KPIs, relationships, and report outputs.\n\n- Support QA, UAT, defect management, and release-readiness activities.\n\n- Integrate data-quality checks into CI/CD pipelines where required.\n\n- Monitor data quality across completeness, accuracy, consistency, conformity, uniqueness, and timeliness.\n\n- Work closely with Data Engineers, Architects, Analytics, QA, and business stakeholders.\n\nRequired Skills :\n\n- 4+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Data Quality, Data Validation, ETL Testing, or related areas.\n\n- Strong SQL, including joins, CTEs, window functions, aggregations, and reconciliation.\n\n- Strong Python and PySpark experience.\n\n- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric, including Lakehouse, Warehouse, Notebooks, and Pipelines.\n\n- Experience with Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse, or Databricks is also relevant.\n\n- Experience building automated data validation/testing frameworks.\n\n- Strong experience with source-to-target reconciliation and data migration testing.\n\n- Working knowledge of Power BI and semantic model validation.\n\n- Experience with Git, Azure DevOps, CI/CD, and code reviews.\n\n- Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills.\n\n- Experience working with distributed/global teams and excellent communication skills.\n\nPreferred Skills :\n\n- Experience with legacy warehouse-to-Fabric/Azure/Databricks migrations.\n\n- Microsoft Fabric certifications such as DP-700 or DP-600.\n\n- Experience with Microsoft Purview Data Quality.\n\n- Experience with Delta Lake, CDC, anomaly detection, or data observability tools.\n\n- Experience working with large datasets and optimizing data validation workloads.\n\n- Experience with Agile/Scrum delivery.\n\nSkills\nMicrosoft Fabric, SQL, Python, PySpark, Data Validation, Power BI, Azure Data Factory, Data Migration, Microsoft Purview, Delta Lake, Data Quality","description_format":"text","description_chars":3060,"description_truncated":false,"requirements":{"experience_years_min":4,"management_years_min":null,"team_size_min":null,"manages_managers":false,"education":null,"security_clearance":false,"languages":[]},"benefits":[],"hiring_locations":[{"name":"India","iso":"IN","kind":"country"}],"hiring_excludes":[],"relocation_offered":false,"industries":[],"lifecycle":[{"event":"open","at":"2026-09-25T18:04:06Z"}],"liveness":{"score":60,"band":"ok","label":"Likely open","p_open":0.85,"p_active":0.782,"p_room":0.9,"age_days":15,"expected_fill_days":28,"reasons":["seen:15","velocity","win:mid"],"computed_at":"2026-10-01T05:45:00Z"},"pay":null,"html_url":"https://alion.io/job/simform-fabric-data-quality-engineer","json_url":"https://alion.io/job/simform-fabric-data-quality-engineer.json","meta":{"generated_at":"2026-10-02T02:31:49Z","cache_seconds":300,"methodology":"https://alion.io/methodology","terms":"https://alion.io/terms","contact":"https://alion.io/contact","api":"https://alion.io/developers","usage":{"tier":"crawler","counted_by":"address","units_charged":1,"used_today":3404,"day_limit":5000,"remaining_today":1596,"minute_limit":60,"resets_at":"2026-10-03T00:00:00Z"}}}
