SimIS seeks a Data Collector/Analyst responsible for collecting, validating, and analyzing test data from border security systems across diverse operational environments. This role combines field data collection activities with sophisticated statistical analysis to support evidence-based recommendations for technology deployment and system optimization. The position requires expertise in data collection methodologies, statistical analysis, and the ability to work in challenging field conditions while maintaining data integrity and quality.\nRequired Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities\nBachelor's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or related analytical field\nMinimum 3 years of data collection and analysis experience, preferably in field testing environments\nAbility to obtain and maintain DHS suitability background check\nAbility to work in challenging field conditions across diverse terrains\nAbility to travel to remote border locations for extended periods\n25% travel required\n Technical Skills:Statistical analysis software proficiency (R, SPSS, SAS, or equivalent)\nData visualization and reporting tools expertise\nUnderstanding of surveillance system data types and formats\nKnowledge of data collection methodologies and quality assurance\nExperience with database management and data repository systems\nKey Responsibilities\nCollect and validate test data in operational settings across diverse border environments\nDevelop innovative data collection methods for surveillance and detection systems\nPerform rigorous statistical analysis of test results and systems performance data\nCreate data collection plans and procedures for field test events\nMaintain comprehensive technical data repository with monthly updates\nGenerate data analysis reports and visualizations for stakeholder consumption\nSupport trade study analysis with quantitative data and statistical insights\nEnsure data quality and integrity throughout collection and analysis processes\nDocument data collection procedures and maintain quality control standards\nProvide analytical support for performance metrics
